This place is a wonderful pitstop. Big lagoon campground is a few miles down the road for camping. This trail is just over a mile long with lots of different plants

Great park, honor system entrance. Went just to see the carnivorous plants. Beautiful. Please stay on the path, plants are delicate and boot prints are ugly.

Nice place to hike! Wide open trails in a woodsy environment. Peaceful, quiet, don't hear traffic! There's a one mile paved loop and a 7 mile hike in the woods in clear, mostly open paths. If it has rained, prepare for some muddy marshy areas you will have to find a way around in the tall grasses and brush. Careful of snakes as there is a lot of tall grasses and pine straw they like to bask in on a sunny day. I saw a small corn snake which was basking in the middle of the path. I didn't see him until he slithered away. He was harmless, but there may be some that are not. Just be aware and wear long pants preferably Jean's and closed toe shoes. If you keep hiking straight you'll come to the end where it meets the gulf shores. Very beautiful, and miles of beach!

Perfect for my school project involving animal tracks. I found many deer tracks, raccoon tracks, and squirrel tracks. I also used my Seek app to learn about the different plants there. I love that much of the area is still untouched.

It was a nice shaded walk most of the time. The one mile walk was easy and good for all ages. It's a mile there and back total. The same for the 7 mile trail. Make sure you have bug spray repellent. It's a race to the car once the sun starts going down lol.

Beautiful park, very clean with nice walking trails and scenery. Be warned, parking is VERY limited so try to avoid coming on the weekends. The first time we came we couldn't even explore the park due to not having a place to park the car.

Beautiful park with beautiful trails. There is a cement trail that is about .5 miles long that you could easily do in a wheelchair. Longer trail is also a nice, easy hike. Not much wildlife, but super well maintained.

Great place for a long walk or hike. Bring proper shoes and drinking water if you're planning the longer bay trail. The shorter trail is a very easy walk. Definitely consider the weather, there isn't much shade and the longer trail it can get very muddy after a good rain.

Great park with trails for both limited ability and able-bodied. The shorter trail about 1 mile out and back is concrete and raised wooden in areas. The longer trail is 3 miles out and back with a couple of of options. Nice access to bay in many locations. My be wet in few areas but eaisly passable.

Pay to park please. Those free dog waste bags don't grow on trees. Please, if you get the collective income invest in restrooms in lieu of the single unisex porta potty which I'll do the courtesy of not describing. The park is great, parking is ample for the average daily visitors. Fantastic hike with the highlights being the flora.

Great place for hiking!! Make sure to look at the map first or else you may get on the 7mile trail vs the 1mile.
