Cafe Genevieve

In my personal opinion this restaurant is home to the best burger known to man, no toppings needed. The service is fast, efficient and incredibly kind and the atmosphere is perfectly retro. Whenever me and my family were fixing up a neighbors house we always ordered the meatloaf and brought it back to our house and it always hit the spot perfectly. both dine in and take out are going to please you. over all I believe this is possibly the best restaurant in Sainte Genevieve.

Fried chicken was great. They have the best onion rings. And my daughter loves their liver and onions. My wife liked the chicken strips. Make sure you call before you go there. Every once in awhile they will close early.

Excellent food, atmosphere, prices, and service. A definite must go if you're in the area.

After an out of town volleyball game for my daughter on our way out we wanted to stop for something to eat before the drive home. We found this incredible little restaurant on accident but wow was I glad we did.

We walked in and took a seat and our drink orders were taken immediately. We were the only people in the restaurant which as you can imagine made me wonder if this was a bad decision.

Looking through the menu and seeing the selections available my eyes immediately stopped on the prime rib. It came out cooked per perfection and a baked potato that was fully cooked and hot!

Good value for the money here and great food.

The potatoes are REAL mashes taters. The family that runs it is great. When did u go to eatvwhen the owners mom fries your chicken. The current $6.99 lunch is the best deal in the country. And everything I have eaten there has been great. We drive 50 miles to eat there and visit with the hard wirking family that runs it.

Food was fresh and hot. Server was very friendly. Best place in town.

I cannot speak to the food as I just came in for a coffee and to ask some questions about the town in general, but it was a very nice experience. Friendly service. Has plenty of tables and a bar area that had the baseball game on.

We always try & support local small business over big chains .. stopped in to try the food, & now we often come back because of the service!! Fries are good, chicken is excellent, the biggest gem in the building is a sweet/friendly waitress named Helen 💚. She made us feel like family from the start. I highly recommend you stop in & say hello!

A refreshing step back in time to an excellent old fashioned cafe! Service was superb, food was fantastic and prices unbelievable! 6.95 for Country fried steak, mashed, green beans, salad and roll!!!!!! Lunch special. Will go back again!

This is definitely one of those restaurants that is underrated the food taste absolutely amazing it was almost like it was from Farm to Table felt like a complete home-cooked meal I will definitely definitely be back oh yeah in the bathroom is pretty amazing as well

If you're away from home and need a home cooked meal, this is your place. Food is excellent, service is fast, did I mention the food is great. Sit, relax, take in the decor and enjoy your meal.

What a lovely spot for lunch or dinner. Good home cooked food, friendly staff, very reasonable prices.

Great daily specials, friendly service

It took a while to get a seat, they seemed short staffed for the lunch rush, but once we were seated service was fast. The staff were super friendly and the food was AMAZING! I haven't had homestyle food that good in a long time.

Good old fashioned food. The German potatoes were very good. Traditional dining room. From reading other reviews.....if you want fast, go to McDonald's. This is a slower paced, comfort food establishment. Just went again and the carrots...yes the carrots were the best I have ever had.

Best food in town. Awesome specials and great prices. Every time I go back I am treated like family.

My wife and I had the southwest chicken breast. It was excellent. Chicken was juicy and delicious. Salad and baked potato was very good. A clean restaurant with fast friendly service.

I was here with church breakfast group. We love their food. But were sorry to here they will be gone soon. Place is for sale.
