Genesee County Road Commission

I've not reached out to GCRC before. We live on a dirt road that always seems to get awful potholes, to the point that we have to plan extra time just to get to the end of our short road. I saw that you could report an issue online. Despite them having graded the road within the month, it degraded quickly, so I reached out online to request that they come back to grade a specific area. Amazingly, they were out within 24 hours. AND not only that, but within two days of that, they came back and built up the trouble areas with dirt and limestone. We didn't even have to request that; they realized why those areas repeatedly got terrible and took action. And it wasn't a quick process either. You've got some impressed folk out in Forest Township, GCRC! Thank you!

You guys did a nice job on the Beecher rd ditches that you dug out in Clayton Township. Thanks for coming out so quickly when I seen a erosion hole forming, hopefully that does the trick.. Hopefully the grass seed you sprayed starts growing in the spring.

Excellent job repaving Reid Rd. between Elms and Morrish Rd. in Gaines Township. I run down that road a lot and it was a mess, now perfect. Thanks for fixing the shoulders this is where I run.

I just want to say that these guys must have worked all night to clear the roads!!! Great job to all of them!!!! I am shocked they were able to get so much done considering how much snow we got!!!

Wanted to thank the snow truck driver who was on Jennings Road by the Lake Fenton High School this morning while I was clearing the snow drift in my drive he slowed down changed blade so snow would not fill back in my drive Thank you Merry Christmas

The road commission does a great job of keeping the roads in good order with the resources that they are given

Great organization, with hard working and very intelligent individuals. They deserve more credit. I would love to see all of you people who commented and put one star, work one day at the road commission, and tell me if you feel the same way.

Thanks for grading Ray Rd last Monday. Don’t know what the tank truck behind him was putting down but it was useless. It’s s total dust bowl here now. 4 days later and everything within 30 yds of the road is covered. Appreciate the grading but please put down an appropriate dust control application immediately afterwards.

Blueberry Lane in Otter Lk was graded less than a mth ago. It's in rough condition again. Their operator on the grader does a mediocre job

Keep graveling roads that don’t need it. Broke my windshield on one vehicle. My new vehicle gets a broken windshield there will be a problem. STOP PUTTING GRAVEL DOWN WHERE IT ISNT NEEDED! IT OS NOT SAFE!! You guys say you provide safe roads yet don’t. Smfh.

The roads are a mess, they don't even clean them! Haven't seen one plow on the main road. PATHETIC!!

Y'all better rethink your mission statement. The roads in Genesee county are far worse than any other county in Michigan. It's incredible how bad some of the roads are in Genesee county.

I have been calling and leaving message along with my neighbors for over two years trying to get ahold of anyone about the water drainage issues with the ditches. Not a single call back. Now I’m getting threatened with legal action because I cleaned my own ditch to try to fix the water issues. This is ridiculous.

Instead of re-paving our stretch of Baldwin Road between Irish and Saginaw, they lay down tar and pebbles 2-3 times per summer that flings up onto the paint of our vehicles and will not come off. They say it’s to “extend the life of the road” but it’s clear they’re just going the cheap route at the expense of the taxpayers who travel up and down Baldwin every day rather than fixing the issue and properly resurfacing the road.

Anyone that doesn't believe that Genesee County Road Commission is terrible at road maintenance, simply needs to drive south on Saginaw towards the Oakland County line after a snow event, it is literally like the New Finish Car Wax commercial, one side totally ugly, the other looks like a new car ! You folks need to get some training from The Road Commission for Oakland County !!! Do your homework about your local municipalities before purchasing a house. It WILL impact your daily life !
