If I could give this restaurant a million stars I would, they are super nice and the food is always delicious. My favorite is the cashew stir fry with chicken, it’s amazing! They typically have a wait so order early…but it is so worth it!!!

The owners are so sweet. I actually ended up at the wrong restaurant and decided to try out the food and was pleasantly shocked on how good it was. And the crab Rangoon is in my top three! Just one meal and crab ragoons was enough for me to share with my family. So I’d say the price is reasonable. They make up for it with the portions they give.

We stumbled across this place randomly as we were passing through. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge. One of the proprietors shared a little bit of his story with us, which was quite interesting. Would highly recommend take out from here. Each entrée could easily feed 2!

This was my first time eating from here. I ordered the garlic sauce stir fried gluten free with a side of white rice. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Jeff was an absolute delight to chat with while my food was getting it's finishing touches.
Recommend 10/10.

Super knowledgeable owners. Service was above and beyond. One of the owners is a waiter also and knows a lot of stuff about Thailand. He gave us an appetizer called Dragon Skin. It was fried chicken trimmings with a light, sweet sauce and was delicious.

We ordered spice level 4 but at that level of spice, even if you can handle it, it overpowers the taste of the food. Next time I would get and recommend spice level 3, regardless of how much spice you think you can handle.

We ordered various stir fry dishes, larb, and the cabbage wraps. If you order entrees, I believe you get a simple vegetable soup which is amazing. 10/10

Great food.
Large portions.
Friendly service
Friendly owner.
Great location.
Homemade food you cant get any where else.
This is a must visit place in the Flint area.
Food here is made from scratch, does take some time but well worth the wait.

Best Thai Food ever!!!! I would recommend the crab rangoon, thai tea (red), stir fried orange sauce chicken, cashew nut stir fried chicken, stir fried garlic sauce chicken (so tender and yummy) and the pineapple fried rice. Everything is so good really. When my favorite Chinese food place closed I could not find anywhere that came close. But this place is amazing and the people who run it are so incredibly nice! It's a family run business and it takes them time to make your food because they make it fresh. But it's worth the wait! The food tastes incredible! It's my new favorite place to eat!

The best, most friendly & personal service in town. Healthy, happy portions of delicious food. I've been to other area Thai restaurants & this one is the place to visit. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back.

Today my husband and I decided to try out Thai Nation Bistro for our Anniversary dinner. We sat in a cozy little area in the back and were greeted by a very informative and personable young man who introduced himself as Josh and took our drink orders.
We let him know we have never been to the Bistro before and he took the time to tell us about their food, the spice/ heat levels from 0 to 5 and how each are different. We ended up ordering a few different things, to take home to the kids of course 😁 and everything was delicious!
We decided for our first time to try everything at a level 2. We like spicy foods and could have handled a 3 or 4 but we enjoyed what we had. I'd say a level 2 is a medium heat level.
The Thai tea is amazing, a definite must try. Really pairs well with the meals.

I have never been more blown away by the quality and pride of a Restaurant before.
Everything is made fresh to order. If you don't want something in your dish, no problem and the amount you get is perfect!
Oh and I need to mention, their to go containers are made in the USA, dishwasher safe and microwave safe. I love that I can re-use these and then Recycle them when done.
I would have given them a 10 star review if possible.

Thank you to Thai Nation Bistro for making our experience and meal amazing.
We will be back.

Had received many good reviews concerning Thai Nation Bistro. Red Curry Rice with Vegetables, Fried Chicken Dumplings. Level 3. Absolutely grand.

We spotted Thai Nation Bistro while in the area and it’s exterior paired with online menu made us spin around and stop in. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess/waitress which was very welcoming. We ordered 3 entrees, one as an appetizer and the others to share as the main course. We got Tom Kha, Mixed vegetables and Drunken noodles. The food was very good, presentation was also excellent. The mixed vegetables were delicious and my favorite. The Tom Kha was a little watery but still good, way too much lettuce/cabbage though. The spice level is 0-5 and I would say 2 is a good Mild+ and 3 was a little under a medium at similar restaurants. The drunken noodles were my least favorite as the noodles were just very larger and hard for me to get a balanced bite. The prices at this place are amazing imo to the point I hope they stay in business. Compared to other places their quality is top notch and prices are easily 30% less.

All and all the prices, service, setting and quality give this place a 5/5 “gotta check it out” rating from me. It’s the type of clean and friendly environment you want to go have a sit down meal at. A few improvements to the flavor profile of some dishes and this place will be my top pick in the area.

Edit: It looks like their Mussamun Curry has changed from potatoes to cauliflower? Ummmm, what.....

This was our first time ordering from this location and it was very good. We ordered the dumplings, chicken pad Thai, and chicken mussamun curry all with heat level 1. I have to say that I'm a light weight with spice and one was perfect for me. This location definitely lived up to its hype and the order was ready in 25 minutes. The only things I noticed was the dumplings were cold and it doesn't come with a lot of rice for the curry but these were very minor. I have rice at home and a microwave so no worries!

After searching in vain for a great Thai experience in Genesee County, I've found it! As a former Oakland County resident, Thai food restaurants are everywhere......but I love my new home in Flint, so when a friend gave a great review of TNB, I rushed to check it out. My Chicken Pad Thai was amazing and the portions are generous, which makes a difference when you're on a fixed income.
I'll be happily going back for my Thai food cravings, as long as their service n quality are consistent. Much Love and Luck to this family of owners......you're appreciated!

Just had the Red Curry Chicken. Very tasty! Partner had Sweet & as our Crispy Chicken and she loved it. Really hit the spot on a cold (18°), snowy day.

I get take out from here every couple of weeks, and they have never disappointed. Incredible food, and such wonderful people who own this place! I absolutely look forward to coming here each and every time.

Tried Thai Nation on a recommendation from a friend who frequented their Okemos location. Recently re-located to Burton, this “home cooking” Thai joint is quiet, authentic, and delicious! The restaurant is clean, the decor simple (an eclectic collection from the owners’ own travels to Thailand) and the music soothing and Thai-centric. Their limited menu allows them to stay close to their true-Thai roots, and the drunken noodles (recommended by the waiter) did not disappoint. The freshness of the ingredients, the subtle and complex layered flavors, and the “tucked away” location made this hidden gem an experience and location I will definitely return to again and again. What a great addition to our limited Thai choices in the Flint area!

A hidden gem! A humble exterior with authentic Northern Thai culinary magic happening inside!

Unlike most Thai restaurants in Michigan, this actually is run by a genius Thai cook who uses fresh ingredients, makes food to order, and understands Northern Thai flavor.

Made to order means you might need to wait for your food a little bit longer, but you are always assured the food is fresh.

Vegan options are available. I had steamed tofu as my protein in my dishes. Absolutely delicious!

The family proprietors are delightful. They really do cook from the heart and make you feel welcome. Delightfully gracious. Such great vibes to visit there and enjoy the food they prepare with such pride.

Easy parking. This is a takeaway restaurant only.

Full transparency - this place and the owners have been a favorite of mine for over 4 years now.

Tonight we got the pineapple fried rice with chicken pan seared style. No onion. Spice lvl 3.

Chicken was crispy and seasoned well. Rice had a good chew. Cashews were golden brown and seared well. Pineapple was still juicy even after a 40 min drive home.

As usual the portion sizes are immense for the price you pay. Tonight even after a tip, the price was well under 20$ for almost 3lbs of food.

Edit: These photos are from the newer Saginaw & Maple location, but the food is just as good at either restaurant. Lovely comfortable new location for an old favorite of mine. The food is just fantastic. The curry will bring you back to life in the dead of winter. This restaurant has lots of generous windows which fill the room with natural light and make it feel bright and cozy. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

About as authentic and fresh thai food as you can get. The place itself could use some improvement and additional seating, but the food is really good. The family that runs it is incredibly friendly and helpful. Expect a wait at times though, but well worth it!
