Kohl's Resort

We rented the Sunset Terrace Event Center for our family Christmas party.
The space worked out perfectly with plenty of seating, a full kitchen for food prep, and wonderful ambiance with the wood burning fireplace.
The included amenities, such as the pool, made it extra fun for the kids! The option of renting the bedrooms for our out-of-town guests was also convenient and slept several people.
We received many comments on what a great space it was. We plan to rent it again for future family events.

My daughter loves having her birthday party at Kohl’s Resort and judging from the great turnout we have every year, her friends like it too! It’s always clean and ready to go when we get there with plenty of room. The owners seem very nice and willing to do what they can to make your time there enjoyable.

Kohls Last Resort was an exceptional experience and I only wish the entire family could have joined us. We will work toward that for our next visit. Everything was perfect and the place is super clean. The pool was such a great thing to look forward to. Kudos to Ashley who we saw doing her job daily to provide a nice place to be whether the cabin or the lodge. The staff as a whole were great and we are looking forward to our next visit. See you all soon.

Very friendly owners and workers, great communication. clean cabins, nice beach with plenty of things for kids of all ages to enjoy. Great activities to keep everyone entertained. Pool was nice and clean our kids really enjoyed it when not swimming on the beach. Very nice boats to rent. Looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful resort! Brian and Ashley are amazing people and very accommodating.

Easy check in / check out, clean rooms and a nice free picture frame given to guests (nice touch), nice beach, well kept resort, staff was good but teens working there were really not friendly but we didn’t mind that too much. Teens will be teens I guess. If Bemdji wasn’t so far from the Twin Cities, we’d stay here again!

If you’re looking for a little slice of Heaven, look no further. I lived locally for almost 9 years before I learned about this hidden gem. It’s such a beautiful resort, tucked away off the beaten path so you can truly unwind and get in some relaxation. They have all kinds of amenities for a family, including an indoor pool in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. We hosted a baby shower in their outdoor A-Frame gazebo overlooking the water. It was an awesome experience and staff was extremely accommodating. I highly recommend Kohl’s Resort for your next event or getaway!

Our week at Kohl's was wonderful! There is always something to do rain or shine. The resort is clean and kept up beautifully. Our Cabin was cozy and also very clean. Our kids had so much fun running around, swimming, fishing and meeting new friends. Highly recommend Kohl's resort!

We had another great experience with Kohl’s Resort! We did a family vacation with our adult kids and their families and we all had a fabulous time. This resort is full of activities if you want to participate or it’s perfect to just hang out and relax. Ashley and Brian, the owners, are very attentive to any needs and just super nice people to visit with. We are already booked for next year!

Fabulous.stay in a wonderful cabin! We had a son visiting from AK and we wanted to get the kids and grandkids all together. We rented Cabin 20 and it was perfect! A beautiful and spacious 4 bedroom cabin with a loft for the girls and a pool to play in. The guys were happy looking for fish to catch on Big Turtle lake ... everyone kept busy and happy. Brian and Ashley are wonderful hosts who communicate quickly and accommodate their guests needs in a friendly and helpful manner. I would highly recommend staying at Kohl's Resort if you are looking for a beautiful location and great accommodations with plenty of amenities. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely week at Kohls Resort while our kids attended a local Spanish camp. Ashley and Brian were very service oriented and attentive. The cabin we were staying in did not have AC. When they could not get it fixed due to a high volume of local HVAC customers they moved us to another cabin with working AC. Thank you! We loved the lake and peaceful environment. It was a good place to land for the week after a long drive from CA.

Today is our last day, and I don’t want to leave! I am hesitant to tell you how amazing Kohl’s is…because I don’t want everyone to find this gem!! But since I think the (relatively)new owners, Ashley and Brian, are fabulous I’ll give it the well deserved 5 star rating.

Ashley and Brian you are totally customer focused. I can’t wait to see what upgrades you make next year. Until then…

Great place to stay! The new owners are incredible. Our cabin was clean and the resort team made sure we were comfortable. The lakeside amenities were awesome, well cared for and easily accessible. It is a dog friendly resort with loads of activities on the grounds. Thank you for a lovely week!

Well, I can’t say enough about Kohls. The crisp autumn mornings with the beautiful lake, outside picturesque cabin windows….it’s hard to leave.
I recommend everyone should try to experience this northern “gem” outside the busy season. Ashley and Brian (the owners) have a great thing going….and it keeps getting better.

This was our second year. After numerous other resorts, we finally found one that met our family needs. All fifteen of us. Brian and Ashley are great to work with along with Victor. Always willing to help out. Back again next year.

Our family highly recommends Kohl's Resort. We stayed in a nice pool side motel style room. The setting is beautiful and perfect for a family reunion or a couples get away. We were able to tour and look inside several cabins and each was sparkling clean, nice "up north" decor. The owner's take great pride and hard work into upgrading the facilities and put a lot of heart into great hospitality.

The owners and staff were wonderful. We had a great stay and will be back!

Brian and Ashley have a wonderful resort. They both made sure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed. Very clean and unit 17 was well appointed. We will definitely be back ASAP .

We had an Amazing time! Fishing was great, cabin was so nice & cozy, the lake was beautiful, everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I highly recommend Kohl's Resort! And we will definitely be back, thank you so much!
