Studio 550 Arts Center

I needed something fun to do that was all my own, so I decided to try out a four week pottery class over the winter. After that one I signed up for a 10 week class. And then another. This place is AMAZING. Monica (owner and head pottery teacher) is an angel. And the people in my classes are incredible. I found a community!

I did the 2.5 hours clay workshop: it was a fabulous experience! A workshop that makes you completely relax and disconnect from the world. Two very kind and cute girls assisted us first to work the clay on the wheel and then hand sculpting. The price was $50 and included the workshop and the possibility of taking home two pieces of what has been created. Super recommended!

We did a stained glass workshop at Studio 550 and it was awesome. The instructor took her time to explain everything in detail, and the group size is limited to four, so you are never really left alone. We left with cool sun catchers.

My sister and I took a pottery class here and it was so fun! First time for both of us and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I took the stained glass class. Excellent instructor who gave specific, thorough instructions and demonstrated patiently how to complete the project. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

My son and I have been going every other week for family clay workshop and we love it. The instructors are amazing projects are perfect for kids and adults and a great price!!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I first took a 8 week hand building class here with Amy and enjoyed it so much I turned around and signed up for the very next session! There is so much to explore in these classes that it does not get old!! I also love the atmosphere that this studio creates! People from all experience levels can participate and feel included. I ended up making so many great pieces and felt like I really made strong bonds with others in my community as well. I have already signed up for my next class! Thanks Amy and Monica and everyone else at 550 for this absolute GEM of a place in Manchester!

Super helpful, friendly staff! Informative, adaptive and very respondant to emails. We (13 people) had a party there for painting pottery and I would happily go there again. I'm excited to see the finished products.

I've been attending classes here for a while now and I'm just so happy. My favorite thing to do is load the dishwasher with my name facing up in cute little rows so when I open it it's just a sea of my pottery. It's a really really great feeling. True joy. Thanks for everything guys. 😊

We did the stained glass class and loved it. Our teacher, Rachel was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable. We are looking forward to going back for a pottery class.

Pottery date night was great. The instructor was helpful and it was approachable for beginners. Made 2 little pieces. First is included in cost, second was $5. Great value, definitely will attend another class here.

Nice place to learn the wonderful art of pottery and also buy some nice pieces. We spend an hour doing some "art" for our own kitchen!

My staff chose Studio 550 as our Fall "Company Fun Day" last week. Super fun! For most of us, it was our first time on a potters wheel since grade school. Our family (ages 5- 70yrs old) had the most wonderful time yesterday learning how to use the pottery wheel. The staff were professional friendly, helpful but not overwhelming. The atmosphere was so relaxing with music in the background. We will definitely return for more classes.

Great time at date night pottery. The employee did a great job explaining how to shape your clay and did a good job helping everyone in the room.

You can learn to throw pottery, hand build or just come to paint your own pottery. There is also a locally made gift shop.

Date night pottery workshop was a lot of fun. That hour goes by so fast though. I could have stayed there playing with clay all night! I hope we can come back again soon for more classes. 🙂
