Murphy's Taproom & Carriage House

We went tonight for the first time ever. We moved here in 2019 and never visited due to the lackluster reviews. We saw the owner personally address some of the biggest past issues on a local Facebook post and decided to finally try the restaurant. It was so good. Our waitress, Bailey, was amazing and we took her recommendations for wine, app, salad and main. Everything was excellent. The fruits and veggies were fresh, the meat was perfectly cooked, and we enjoyed the wine she suggested. They apparently ironed out their staffing issues and hired a new chef a year ago. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Rented the Carriage House on 2/17/24 for my daughter's baby shower and Brunch. The atmosphere was bright (sunny, beautiful music, spacious and welcoming). The bar was fantastic with many draft beers to choose from and a very hospitable bartender. The service and food were excellent but the business details worked out by my wife and Michelle were even more astounding. Communication by Michelle was outstanding. Great prices, selections and hospitality above the norm. No surprises. Pay no attention to the fake reviews by nefarious malefactors. Pay homage to this family run business. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing food & friendly staff. My only complaint was that the steak was about 1/2 fat - but otherwise very good.

Extremely helpful and happy staff. Atmosphere is great and if you don’t try the hooked on bacon/ thick cut bacon app you are an idiot. Also ordered the dry aged by steak “medium rare” cooked exactly as expected, tender and delicious 10/10

Service was fantastic! Our waitress was attentive, kind and quick. Atmosphere was casual upscale and the establishment was clean. Drinks were strong and tasty. Food tasted really good but felt overpriced.

Wow, has this place improved from when it first opened. Service was a little slow, but our old fashions and fish & chips were great. I could not finish this. It was a very generous portion.

It was my server's first week, and he did a great job. He was friendly and attentive. My salmon was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful, and it paired beautifully with the crisp, fresh salad. Bonus: the beets were not canned...they were prepared on-site! The sweet potato fries added a delightful sweet and savory contrast, making this dish a well-rounded and satisfying meal. Murphy's is my go-to!!

Food was awesome, not just in flavor, presentation excellent. My compliments to the chef and staff. Was great visit with my daughter the atmosphere made it 💯 complete. Friendly staff. Tim and Tara at the bar superb.

For multiple reasons, my family and I decided to go out for Thanksgiving Dinner this year. Murphy's in Bedford did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great and the food was absolutely delicious! We were all pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend Murphy's for your holiday needs. Thank you for making accommodations for my parents, who require walkers to get around, and seating us closer to the buffet tables. We greatly appreciated the customer service. Overall - fantastic service!

Wow, what a meal! The burger was juicy and packed with flavor, and those fries were the perfect combo of crispy and fluffy. The beer was super refreshing, a great match for the rich food. And the crème brûlée? Heavenly! A sweet finish to a top-notch meal. Loved it!

Great experience tonight at Murphy’s. Ryan’s service at the bar was impeccable! His Apple Cider Sangria was the most delicious drink I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!

We used the carriage house for a celebration of life event. We were very satisfied. Michele the event manager was a pleasure to work with, answering all our questions. The room is big and airy with huge windows allowing tons of natural light. The food and service was excellent. They had no problem handling about 150 guests. We would definitely use them again for another event.

Friendly atmosphere, great food, and excellent service is why this place gets 5 stars. I've been here several times and it's just always excellent.
Whether you are just trying to have a meal or have a entertaining night out this is a great place to be.

I will be going back. Our office went here for lunch and I did not have the opportunity to take in everything. It was very comfortable seating for our group of nine and we were all able to talk with each other. The seats were placed on one side and a booth on the other side, both the chairs and booth were cushioned and comfortable. The space was open, airy, and fresh. The menu has a good selection. Plus fresh brewed ice tea.

This restaurant has the absolute best fish tacos in NH! The small tables for 2 people are just a tad too small. Can't fit all the plates needed for a decent dinner.

I really love this place. The food selection is really good and my family consistently can't decide on their meal. The outside patio in the summer is a real treat even with the traffic noise on 101. The beer list is pretty diverse and can find some good craft selection.
