Frontier Sports

My family and I have been going to Frontier Sports every summer for the past 30 years, whenever we visit our cabin in Marcell. Frontier has everything you might need (including anything we forgot to pack for the cabin!) including a grocery section, a lure and bait section, a gift shop, gas pumps, prepared food, and much more. Frontier is a MUST on every trip to the cabin, to pick up any groceries we forgot to bring, any Advil or shampoo or anything along those lines, get gas, and whatever else we might need. It's location is incredibly convenient, especially since it's the only store carrying some of these items for miles! This store has become a tradition in our family, and we plan to continue visiting for many years.

This a great place to go get ice cream, camping. It has some interesting "stuffed" animals in it too. The store sells a wide variety of things, included homemade soaps, fun items for your home and supplies for hunting/fishing. Great place to go to be for an hour on so on a rainy day.

So convenient to get gas at this store. The muffins in restaurant area are great. They also have a great area for gift items. The bait shop are a is great for anglers and they also have a smattering if grocery items to lick up if you run out. Clean restrooms and personable staff.

Basically the only store in Marcell for gas fishing and other stuff has been there for years and they're always nice and in the summer they have more and they also put up fishing contest in the area who got the biggest bass put your name up so it's good

The coffee is great! They accept a wide range of credit cards and fleet cards, which is sometimes hard to find at more remote stores like this. This place has everything.

Frontier Sports has been an iconic place for me since I was old enough to comprehend the most simplistic things in life. I have been visiting this store for 36 years and know many of the staff as well as Terry Schmidt the owner of Frontier since before I was born. Unfortunately Terry suddenly passed away recently to the shock of all that knew, respected and loved this hardworking jolly man. There is really no competition for Frontier Sports as it is the only place within 30 miles or so where you can buy tackle, bait, hunting supplies, ammo, groceries, drinks, have a meal or ice cream at their cafe and pick out a gift or memorabilia in the gift shop. The people here are kind and willing to help anyway they can. As this place means so much to myself and many others, I can only hope that Frontier Sports continues to be apart of the Marcell community for many more years to come. Thank you Terry for giving your life to this special place.

Large selection of lures and live bait was always fresh. Staff is friendly and passionate about fishing.

They have great fresh oranges, a great Fisherman's helper, and really nice tourist gifts.
