Fox Country Smoke House

Off the beaten path you will find this charming smokehouse operation. Plenty of free parking and a porta potty for restroom. We enjoyed the smoked cheeses and meats and other charming knick-knacks and treats. Proprietors are very friendly and willing to answer all your questions. I will be back.

Just a Beautiful ride in Canterbury NH to get to the smokehouse. You can just follow the smell there. Thick peppers bacon and smoked cheese, different flavors of Jerky and meat sticks. Definitely the best place to go for special treats.

Went for an open house
They were doing a tour of the business which has been around for 50 yrs. Neat old original setup and newer as well. Had a sampler tasting of some very good smoked products .Needless to say we didn't leave empty handed. Great location and unique old school facility. Don't miss it!

Probably one of the best smoke houses I've been to! My favorite has to be the jerky, it's the best jerky I've ever had and I have tried many types of jerky before! The sweet bologna sausage is extremely good too. Highly recommend!

We always make it a point to stop by the smoke house to grab some snacks and a few other meats and cheeses on our way to the Canterbury Aleworks. The smell at the smoke house is so amazing!

End of a dirt road -- a bit hard to find -- but once found, a delightful place with a variety of smoked cheese and meat. Super friendly service! Highly recommend.

LOVE this place! As soon as you walk in, your mouth will start watering (provided you are still living). The jerky is excellent. It is the perfect consistency, being easy to chew, yet not mushy or stringy-not to mention the flavor is out of this world! There are at least 6 different flavors and I honestly couldn't pick just one! They also have 2 year old aged chedar which is delicious, but it gets better....they have a 2 yr old SMOKED cheddar which makes the "original" just seem boring. It is sooo good! There are way too many delights to name here! And they have samples!
Well worth the trip! Speaking of the trip, it is a long way back and you may think your GPS is leading you to your doom, but there is a smoke house at the end of your journey! The gentleman who runs the store is super friendly and very helpful! We have been there a couple times will keep going back!
One more thing, it looks like it is closed all the time, but that's just the look. They ARE closed on Mondays.
NOTE: There is a ramp but getting to the ramp may be difficult for anyone in a wheelchair. The lot is "rocky" and I don't mean gravel. It's that wonderful New Hampshire granite!

We live their smoked cheese. Well off the beaten path, but worth the trip. You can buy their things locally, but seeing and smelling the smoke was awesome. We will definitely be back for more!

Awesome place to go. If you go when they have tours it's even better. The smoked cheese and Jerky is the best. Last time I bought some bacon which I am looking forward to trying for the 1st time. I'm sure it's going to be great

Absolutely love this place. Out in the sticks with amazing choices from smoked bacon and cheese. I always get the smoked pepper jack cheese and bacon. The smoked peanuts are always top notch. Still haven’t been able to get a duck breast they always sell out before I can get me one but hopefully soon enough. Always greeted with a smile when you go there. You won’t be disappointed going here.

We’ve been buying Fox’s smoke cheese from Harman’s Country Store for years but we’re so happy to discover their smokehouse this summer.

What amazing products - from their smoked cheeses to house made spicy kielbasa & bacon, smoked cashews and even smoked pigs ears & bones for the dog. And the entire staff is so helpful & accommodating.

What a great surprise when we went back a few weeks ago to discover that Canterbury was having some sort of festival weekend where local businesses were offering tours & specials. We got a tour of the smokehouse & learned how they brine & smoke their meats. I received a call on Sunday night saying I had won a variety pack in their raffle. It was full of cheeses, kielbasa, smoked sausage & a very comfy sweatshirt.

Our go to Christmas present this year will be a basket of goodies from Fox ( but not the one we won because that will be long gone 😊).

The best smoked meats and cheese around! Beef jerky is fantastic! Plan to spend some money because you will be drooling the whole time. The smoked maple kielbasa is great! Also highly recommend the smoke mozzarella.
