The Rosebush

Modern but quant atmosphere, they put the bush in rosebush. The best bush lite I’ve ever had! They add rosemary and basil to the bush lite! Who does that? Okay joking.... we had a good time, you should check it out. Obviously a cultured establishment with a sense for the culinary arts.

Always the best. They cater extremely well to food allergies. Service is wonderful. Never had a bad experience in the 6 years I’ve been going!!

This is our special treat to ourselves; the salmon plates and chicken Cobb salad are AMAZING.

They have the most unique and best tasting potato skin appetizer I have ever had.

Their staff is fun & personable and the Owner is amazing and always there.

We eat in and do take out and it's equally good quality. Decent prices and large portions!!

Don't forget to try the specialty drinks!

The steak is phenomenal. I've eaten here at least 7 times this past month. Brussel sprouts need to be a permanent menu item.. they are delicious. The sweet potato hash is honestly addicting...
One thing I feel would make this restaurant pop is getting official menus. Other than that everything is always really good. The effort, the service, the ambiance is the best.

Very lovely restaurant in quaint town of Alfred. The server was very professional and knowledgeable with great recommendations for our dinner. Three of us each got very different foods and all were cooked to perfection. The chef is obviously extremely talented. I cannot wait to go back there and eat more delicious meals.

Great experience from start to finish. Our server, Kyle, was spot on. Food was fast and absolutely delicious! Our new local favorite!

Visiting from out of state, dropping son off at AU, came in unexpectedly and found a gem. The shrimp and grits were incredible. Alfredo pasta devine and pulled pork served over mac and cheese was delicious. We are going back tonight!

In town for the night, and stopped in for a quick dinner. So glad we ended up here. The chicken schwarma sandwich was perhaps the best sandwich I've ever had in my life! Pita was incredibly fresh, and the mix of ingredients was absolute perfection. Too bad I'm not in Alfred very often. I will dream about this sandwich until I get the chance to have another.

Amazing little place in Alfred! Food and service is always outstanding... only been here for lunch, but have ordered the NY strip, Chicken Parm, Falafel, and chicken wrapped in pancetta. The menu is extremely varied... they have Greek, Thai, Italian, and American dishes, all very well executed. The staff during the day are amazing... I believe the servers names are Bri and Josh (?) and both are attentive and friendly, and food is ALWAYS hot, delicious, reasonably priced (I don't think anything is over $20) and the portions are generous. One of the few places around we'll drive 35 minutes to eat at! Only thing I wish they'd add is either baked or mashed potatoes, and croutons for the salad (although we request oyster crackers as a topper lol). Definitely on our top 5 in Stueben/Allegany County area.

A wonderful establishment! They have great food at good prices and tons of different options. There is something here for everyone. I would definitely recommend eating here. Also, they offer takeout for those concerned about pandemic safety!

Great little hole in the wall. Everytime we go the place is empty for some reason. The food was very good and the prices were fair. I had a house bacon cheeseburger with home made fries. Would recommend.

We asked for a recommendation for our dinner choice. Excellent options and we were not at all disappointed. The food was perfectly prepared, well balanced flavors. We enjoyed the candlelight atmosphere.

Lisa and I had a great time/meal in Alfred last night. Rosebush has a warm inviting atmosphere, great food and service where any attire works.
She had the Zia Fancesca (a sauteed chicken dish over linguine) and the Pancetta Grilled Chicken that I ordered was excellent. Both dishes highly recommend. Looking for something a little different? You'll find that -and- your steak and potatoes options here.

Some of the best food I have had in the area and i have lived here all of my life. Great atmosphere, really adds a lot of value to the college town. Love it.

Drove 2 1/2 hours to meet friends for lunch. Food was great as well as the atmosphere. Server (Noah) was very attentive without being annoying. Was very much worth the drive.

I have never had a bad meal at this place. The food is delicious and a little bit different for this area and everything I have tried is good! Very reasonbaly priced and the staff are very nice!!!

The atmosphere is relaxing and makes you feel as if you are not in Alfred. The chicken masala was a great dish, not too spicy with a touch of sweet.

Had an off menu item. Well prepared, tasted great. Shame it's a 7hr trip from home to get there. I'd be a regular for that dish !
