A beautiful, step-back-in-time, candy shop that is always a delicious destination. Love going there to buy chocolates for special occasions. The sweet-smelling corner store is always, warm, welcoming and have helpful people. Their naked sponge candy is worth taking the drive out there. I found a new love in their raspberry jelly on this trip.

Excellent Sponge Candy, seriously! I've tried 21 places around WNY and Henry's came in second place. But a very close 2nd place.....

I went to high school in Alden, so whenever we get up to the Buffalo area, this is where we stop for Sponge Candy.

Stopped in for sponge candy and really glad I did! everything is beautifully displayed what a unique selection of truffles, jellies , etc ! In the case are these peanut butter cups they blend the PB with the chocolate, so many unique and delicious chocolates in the case. The candy is really really good and fresh tasting and prices are great … Everything also very good!! The staff was really great. The lady working yesterday 3/3 was super awesome. This place a gem ! We got Charlie Chaplins, hot cocoa truffles , tons of great stuff . Really glad we decided to stop in to try their sponge candy which was yummy

My son is working construction in the Alden area and he got me a large bag of sponge candy one day on his way home to Lakewood, NY. It was great, large cubes of the sponge and a perfect coating. I live in Ashville, NY near Jamestown and I've been getting sponge candy from Romolo's in Erie Pa. but theirs is small thin strips of sponge and Henry's blows theirs away with the large size. In fact when my son told me he was almost done with the job up that way I said before you leave the area get me some more sponge candy. He called me tonight on his way home and said he got me several pounds of it. Sponge candy the way it should be made.

This is an excellent shop. The first thing you notice going in is the delicate aroma of will make chocolate. The display case stands on front of you with an amazing assortment of beautiful chocolates, but don't lose yourself there. Around the sides are an amazing assortment of well made chocolate popsicles and wonderful surprises. You will find something amazing here, and if you need help the friendly staff is readily available to help make a selection.

Love this place, it's a small business that makes exceptional candy. They have a unique selection of different shaped chocolates for gift giving or enjoying yourself. I also love their sponge candy and little stuffed animal selection. Looking for a great chocolate store with a great selection and awesome staff? Look no further, this is it.

Stopped in for Valentine's candy and so glad I did! The store is so clean and everything is beautifully displayed . All the candy is fresh and very fairly priced. It's also very good!! Wonderful customer service as well!

So you're driving around along the country roads and you come to the little town of Alden, you don't expect to find a chocolate shop of this quality sitting right here in town. You can almost taste the deliciousness as you walk in the front doors.

The place is immaculate with an attention to detail that just is out of place in most modern businesses but again this is not a modern business but instead one that has survived a long time and deserves more credit than it gets..

I love dark chocolate and the lady behind the counter offered me to try one that turned out to have a liquid center that just burst in my mouth, oh my gosh it was so good.. My teenage son called it a chocolate love bomb..

Needless to say I highly recommend this beautiful chocolate confectionery..

We were passing through and your shop caught my eye. We stopped in and Karen served us. She was super nice and answered all our questions. She even gave us samples of a few of the chocolates you have. I had never had sponge candy and it was pretty good and melts in your mouth. I was so impressed with all the many different molds of candy that were in the store. Karen also told us you ship so we will be placing an order for Easter! We are from South Carolina but when we are return to the area, we will back to your store.

Absolutely a must visit if you're in Alden. You will never want any other chocolate once you have had theirs. They should have their own scented candle that smells like their store. It's just amazing when you walk in.

Take my grandson (Henry) there often. He loves it! The staff is outgoing and friendly and they always give my grandson a tiny treat which he thinks is the best thing ever! Good quality chocolates. Wide selection. Truffles, fudge, springs candy........ all delicious!

Love their chocolate. It's where I go every Xmas to buy small candy gifts for people who provide a service throughout the year as well as friends. And of course I can't leave without buying choc for my husband and I. Yummmm! Milk, dark, white. It's all good😋

We stopped to buy Easter candy today. The staff were very helpful and offered us a piece of any kind of candy we'd like. I had a turtle and our was tasty. Glad we stopped in and we're not done yet so we'll be back.

This is always one of my favorite places to go. They're chocolate I have been buying greater than 35 years. I remember when they used to sell it out of their basement for Easter only.

So Many newer molds and so many choices of chocolate how could you go wrong

They have an amazing selection and all of it is delicious! Way more reasonable in price than other places I've been. Next time I'm taking the kids with me so they can pick out some goodies. Worth the drive to Alden. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Large variety of chocolate goodies and gifts. Wonderful salespeople. You cannot go there without walking out with even 1 small treat to eat . Different flavors of sponge candy to die for!
