Best hotel in the area for sure. Clean and comfortable and the folks working there are super friendly and helpful. Can't beat the location if you're visiting the universities.

Simply lovely. Beds feel like sleeping on clouds. Super clean. Easy reservation. Great on campus location. Unbelievably quiet in the rooms. Nice views out the windows. Good effort to provide continental breakfast during pandemic with plenty of grab and go choices. 24 hour hit water for tea or cocoa. Friendly staff.

This was our first visit to the Saxon Inn. They book up fast for all of the special events that Alfred State and AU have so we were lucky enough to get called off the waitlist this time! It was so convenient, clean, and had such an amazing and friendly staff! I hope the next time we visit a room is available because it did not disappoint.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Rooms and bathrooms were clean, and basic toiletries are provided. Beautiful location and good walking distance to Main Street where there is a couple of eateries and a cute coffee shop.

We traveled to Alfred for a college visit and fell in love with the campus, town and the overall cozy comfortable feel of the Inn. We visited in January and found the rooms warm, clean and with all the amenities needed. The front desk staff was helpful, friendly and so welcoming. We hope to return and look forward to our stay.

Great bathrooms, they include a list of TV channels so you're not helplessly searching for a specific channel, the breakfast was a little lack luster but it did have bagels, yogurt and drinks

Located in the midst of Alfred University, Alfred NY. Beautiful setting - well appointed rooms. If you're visiting a student at the college I recommend a night there.

The atmosphere is very comfortable, staff is all friendly, and the continental breakfast is not half bad. The rooms are also comfortable and up to date.

Everything about my stay here was lovely! Everything except for the melon at the breakfast buffet, that wasn't ripe, but that's a nitpicky detail.

Quaint little place with nice staff and good prices. However, the complimentary breakfast leaves something to be desired.
