Trattoria Romana Johnston

Excellent food and service. We were originally planning to go to Pat's Italian, which is close to Trattoria Romana. Pat's was supposed to be open until 9 and when we arrived at 8:35 they had locked the main entrance so we opened the entrance to the bar and were told they decided to close early...on a Friday. Really disappointed with them now but there is a silver lining.
When heading back home we drove past Trattoria and although I had been to the Lincoln location I had not visited the Johnston one. I actually forgot it was even there but we decided to give it a shot.
So happy we did! I had chicken sorrentino and my girlfriend had veal sorrentino. Both excellent. We also had an octopus appetizer that was a special. That was cooked perfectly!
Our waiter was Travis and he was such a great waiter and representative of this excellent restaurant. Very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. We will request him when we go back.
It was just a great experience all the way around. Better atmosphere too. We now have a new favorite 🇮🇹 restaurant!

I have never had a bad meal here. Great environment, great food, great manager and employees. Highly recommend. Chicken Marsala is the best I’ve had, their specials are always amazing.

Trattoria Romana Johnston- formerly known as Osteria Toscana is an absolutely fantastic restaurant and is by the most ambient of the all of the Trattoria Romana venues. Our server was very attentive and was very busy. He was friendly and gave us enough time to look over the menu and make our selections for each course. I'd highly recommend the 20oz. Tbone steak- it was amazing! Trattoria Romana Johnston, Colonel Blackinton Inn and Luciano's are among the best in the Torre Group!

Wonderful Italian food! We had a large party and our server was fantastic and patient! The food was delicious, muscles, calamari, eggplant, bucatini cabonara! Soooooooo good!

First time eating at Trattoria Romana! Excellent food, excellent service! Travis was out waiter, and he was very attentive to our needs, and very friendly! We will be back!

As always, the Trattoria staff delivers!! The personalized service by the management was also a welcomed surprise!!

Our party of seven dined here recently to celebrate a family birthday. The ambience was wonderful. Travis, our server, was excellent, being attentive without feeling intrusive. Our meals were delicious also. If I have one complaint it is that the menu states entrees are served with potato and vegetable. This is not the case. $32 for a pork chop and mashed potatoes? I think a small side of veg should be included.

We have the luxury of eating out at many restaurants in RI as well as elsewhere. Unfortunately the food was average. Service was also average. Young waiter trying his best but needs training.

Very tasty. One complaint but its common among places is Portion size. I'm a big eater so i do occasionally leave some higher end places not totally full, but thats more of a me issue. Almost a 40 minute wait after ordering dessert was a big drawback.

Me and my husband came here for our anniversary dinner (12/26/23) and we did have a wonderful time. Our server was fantastic and had great knowledge on specials and anything else we asked. He was WONDERFUL i wish i could remember his name so i could recognize him better for management. the restaurant was practically empty besides one other party which was great because we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The hostesses were beyond loud the entire time we were there. Running back and forth past our table giggling and greeting what seemed to be friends of theirs that came to say hello. I would have been less annoyed if we weren't sat dead smack in the middle of an empty restaurant where all their play time was happening. I am in no way upset that these girls seemed happy they were just a little loud and disruptive especially because there was no other patron in the place making noise.This place is wonderful all around we were satisfied with our meal and server. Thank you for a great anniversary dinner.

Visited this establishment with friends, the Marsala, chicken Frances was not good and the service was horrible.

Won’t be visiting anytime soon.
