Stopped by for dessert. Waitress was so welcoming. Made us feel right at home. We loved the atmosphere; very cozy. Also, the made from scratch desserts were amazing. I'm planning on coming back for dinner soon! Thank you!

Update: Came back for dinner. Dinner service was excellent. The burger was absolutely delicious as was the New Bedford scallops. Will be back again!

We visit Bristol once a year and always end our vacation for sunset dinner at SS Dion. This year was better than ever. Our waitress Megan was so friendly and warm plus she made excellent recommendations. The day boat Milanese special was the best fish dish I’ve ever had. My husband had fresh caught tuna sashimi and he loved it.

I can't say enough about our experience here tonight. From the stunning sunset view adjacent to the cozy fireside ambiance, we enjoyed perfectly prepared cocktails and food. Our server was attentive and friendly. What a gem of a place!

My wife and I went to SS Dion for the first time a week ago. I called ahead as it was our five year anniversary, since I wanted to do something special. I wasn't sure how to really make the night one to remember, but I was hoping to maybe do some kind of tasting menu. I did not see an option on the menu for something like that, but was hoping they would have some flexibility with a week's notice. When I reached out, I spoke directly with the Chef who would be on that night (and I believe all other nights), Chef Nic. I asked him about the potential for a tasting menu with a wine pairing and not only did Chef Nic agree to the proposal, he seemed downright enthusiastic about it. The conversation was brief, but I could tell we were in good hands.

When we showed up on the night of our anniversary, the front of house took us to our own private table with a beautiful view of the water and interior of the restaurant. Much to my surprise, Chef Nic showed up with the first course (and each course thereafter) to talk through the intricacies of what he was able to masterfully craft and then pair with an unassuming, yet perfectly matched wine. From the first bite, we were blown away. Each of the 10 courses was unique, expertly made, and delicious in a way that highlighted each ingredient without pretentiousness. Each time Chef Nic spoke about one of his dishes, it was easy to be captivated by how much thought and attention went into each component of the food as well as his sheer passion for world-wide cuisine.

I have eaten at Michelin star restaurants around the world and I can say this was undoubtedly the best restaurant experience I have ever had (I'm not exaggerating here folks). To top the night off, before we left, Chef Nic hand-delivered a copy of the menu that had Happy Anniversary notes and signatures from each person in the kitchen and waitstaff who helped us that night.

Most restaurants have great food, great people, or a great atmosphere. S.S. Dion has all three. I cannot emphasize enough (try as I might via my longwinded filibuster here) how amazing the experience was in every facet of our time at S.S. Dion. I have been and will continue to recommend it to everyone I speak to who lives in or is visiting the Ocean State. Thank you Chef Nic and the rest of the S.S. Dion Crew!

Really cool spot. Online booking was easy, and I got a spot outside where we watched the sun set.

Staff was informative and knowledgeable- told us about fresh-caught tuna the chef was using for one of the specials, which we got, and really enjoyed.

Everything was delicious, priced fairly, and the service was super attentive. We loved it!!

If you want properly cooked seafood, this is the place to go. You will never get chewy seafood from them! The service is top notch without being pretentious. Sitting outside is especially lovely. I come here a lot and I’ve never had even a remotely unpleasant time. Get the seared scallops! They often reinvent the dish but the scallops are always cooked perfectly. Nobody does it better.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. The service was excellent and very friendly. They have a wide variety of well cultivated seafood and pasta options. The fussilli was amazing, and the bananas foster was well worth the hype!

What a lovely atmosphere with water view and many delicious selections with reasonable pricing. And you could converse with those at your table. Definitely well done!!!

Awesome, higher-end, local seafood place that was able to take a same day reservation for 6, granted it was for an early dinner. My family raved about the food. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

The husband and I were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary. We had never visited this establishment before but definitely will be back. The restaurant has taken good care to make sure that safety measures are in place due to Covid 19. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. We sat outside on the covered deck and timed it perfectly for a beautiful sunset. I would definitely recommend.

We give this restaurant a 10 in all areas. Service was great, food was fantastic and atmosphere was calming and lovely. Great value. Will definitely return, soon!

This restaurant was amazing .This was our 2nd time here - I got the scallop dish I’m very picky with scallops I asked for them well done the dish was cooked to perfection! Food was great and so was the service !

I am not sure why I have not been here in a while especially living close by but I am glad I did. Food, drinks and service was excellent.
I had the Tuna Poke bowl and it was fresh and delicious. Margaritas were yummy. Will definitely be back.

I had the Halibut last night and it was the best dish I have ever had …it’s a special so when it’s available you have to get it !

It's been many years since my last trip here. A radical change from the "old school" simple menu that my mother-in-law truly enjoyed. A significantly refreshed, elegant menu with grately upgraded options were very welcome! Absolutely worth a visit if you haven't been here since 2015 - is not the same restaurant - an extremely welcome change and experience! Wait staff was excellent as well!
