Emma's Authentic Food Of The Southwest

We really enjoyed eating here while traveling through the area! This is the best southwestern food I've had anywhere! The tortillas for the tacos are made fresh, the rice is excellent, and the red and green sauce on the burritos were both very unique and tasty! The service was also fast and friendly!

This was our first time enjoying ourselves at this restaurant. We were greeted immediately upon arrival by a friendly gentleman. Our drink order was taken immediately and we were given menus. Since we have never been here we were recommended the old man special however we had had something similar to that just the night before. So we opted for something different. I had the Emma special and my husband had the burrito I believe. The price was right and we will definitely be back. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.

I had Emma's special and was it special! I was transported to my mother's kitchen.
The taco was lightly fried, making it crispy yet tender. Carne molida and a little potato, yes, thank you! Para que rinda...
The enchiladas were rolled and stuffed with enough cheese for a cheese monger like me. The best part was the onions... omg, just enough to give those delicious enchiladas texture, but not overpowering. One was red, and one was green, just delicious sauces, no meat just like Mama made. Back in the day, ground beef was reserved for special occasions.

Everything else was perfect, beans, rice, sopapilla, and the salsa. The young man who served me was attentive and very friendly.
I will be back on my next trip.

Emma should be very proud to have her family honoring her name by continuing to cook like she did back in Potosi.

Food was so good! I love Mexican food and thought the cheese and onion enchiladas were outstanding. Very authentic and homemade. Service was great and friendly.

This place is an awesome, super friendly family-run restaurant. I ordered the "Old Man", an open-face double patty burger topped with fries and smothered in red, green or a combo of both sauces. It was delicious! The fresh salsa that came out with the chips was also a tasty highlight. I highly recommend this place if you like really good Southwestern food.

What a gem! Everything was fabulous. Every dish was full of flavour - it was all we could do not to lick the plates. The complimentary salsa from “Grandma’s recipe” was the best we have ever experienced. The service was outstanding; attentive, enthusiastic and patient with all our questions. Thank you!

Stopped by one day on a whim. Anthony is a fanatic employee and hearing his stories about his grandmother's restaurant always fun. He makes wonderful margaritas and the stuffed sopapilla are always my favorite. I hate to deviate once I find something I love but they do have great specials also. Their green chili is amazing on everything.

I tried the Mexican burger, and I enjoyed it. Joshua and Anthony was extremely nice and welcoming. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area and so should you! :-)

Absolutely delicious food! This food is simple but seasoned and cooked to perfection.
The staff is so friendly and engaging. They are obviously proud of this third generation family business.
I only get to Alamosa a couple of times a year, but I will make a point to eat here.

The tacos are out of this world super authentic grilled up fresh meat was fresh super delicious the burger was fantastic season really well french fries where delicious and crispy frijoles were fantastic the rice was good it's a really great place that people are super friendly you would love this place you got to stop here it's a must-hit and Alamosa!!!!

We full time rv traveling the US. We stayed in Antonito and traveled to Altamosa to go to Walmart so we have tried several restaurants along this path.

Emma's is by far THE BEST around!

First served chips and salsa. Found out the salsa is homemade and you can tell it! Flavor not overly hot but is has that special something that gives it that homemade taste.

We ordered a taco salad bowl and a stuffed sopapllia with green chili. I do not have the words to describe how flavorful everything was!

Today is my birthday and it could not have started out any better than a meal here!

This Cafe rocks. Awesome, fresh food that came out FAST, and our server, Anthony, was a delight. Highly recommend!

Wow! We were literally the only ones in here, but I can't figure out why. The Emma's Special is well worth it, and the service was great! Definitely recommend stopping here if you're in or around Alamosa.

Chose to stop here because it sounded interesting & it was. Very good food. My partner had Emma's special and I had stuffed sopapilla. Both were very good. So glad we stopped.

Amazing food obviously made from scratch and with old family Recipes. We were there past the usual lunch time and people kept coming and and struck up conversations which added to the family feel. This was one of those great on the road discoveries!

An incredible spot! Great service, great food. We had the green chile chicken burrito and stuffed sopapilla. Recommend both!
