Calling Kathy Ortman to sell our home turned out to be the best decision of our transition. When we needed referrals for inspections, cleaners, and furniture movers, she had great people on tap who were also a delight to work with and made for a speedy transition and much stress reduction. Buying a home can be a stressful experience, especially when you’re in another state. Although I’d never been to Kingman, AZ, I decided to retire here. I researched real estate agents in the area and chose Kathy Ortman based on her biography and reviews. When we spoke on the phone, I knew I made the right choice. I emailed her a list of properties I was interested in, and she advised me which ones were in a better area of town. I drove from California to view the properties. Kathy was very knowledgeable, pointing out possible problems with the houses. She saved the best for last. It was the house I liked the most, and she did too. We opened escrow that evening. I couldn’t close escrow until my divorce was final and I got my name changed. She explained the situation to the seller, and everything turned out fine. After the escrow closed, she arranged for the interior to be painted, and the carpets to be cleaned before I moved in. Kathy went above and beyond to make this transaction stress-free.

We contacted Kathy when moving from out of state after reading her excellent online reviews. She listened to what type, style, location and price range of property we were looking for. Kathy provided us with listing and market updates as they occurred. We let her know which properties we were interested in viewing and when we were available to tour the homes . She took us from the walkway all the way through the properties, pointing out the features, potential issues and answering all of our questions. When we decided on a property, we used her knowledge of the home values in the area, market conditions and negotiating skills to make our offer. Not only did we get the property we wanted in a single weekend, but she saved us several thousand dollars. Kathy provided us with a timeline with dates/milestones which took us through the escrow process without a hitch. Since we were traveling and wouldn't be arriving until late in the afternoon, she made arrangements for us to have keys to the property available upon arrival. The next morning she stopped in to welcome us and provided us with information about our new community. When it came time to list our home, we didn't hesitate calling Kathy! She went the extra mile as our listing agent, keeping us well informed through every aspect of the selling process.We can't thank Kathy enough for her time, efforts and support!
