Placitas Open Space

This was a pretty cool area, I went to check out the Las Huertas Creek Trail. If YOU do, take a map or use AllTrails or something for the trail is not marked very well. There's also plenty of other meandering available here. I'll definitely be back to take more photos and check out some more of the trails here for this is all so far. See you soon!

Go through the unlocked gate, pass the power plant, find your way into the wash, set up shop and fire away! Clean up once you're finished.

Great out of the way place to hike.

Did search and rescue man tracking course there..no facilities.

1st time visting this area. From what I can tell it looks very promising for future out door excursions.

Open serene walks with a nice view of the Sandia mountains, little shade.

Beautiful trails with excellent views. The stone spiral is especially magical to visit. The people in the neighborhood are extremely unwelcoming and not only called the cops multiple times, but had the audacity to approach campers on BLM and yell slurs and insults. I felt just as much anxiety here as i did in downtown Albuquerque. If you appear poor in any way, you will be harrassed by the residents that don't understand the public land belongs to all of us. If my bike hadn't been stolen i would have loved to ride.
