I love Dr Perttula... he always listens and is genuinely dedicated to doing what is best for his patients. I love that he has gotten to know my family. I trust him and know he will do all he can to treat my many health issues... including sending me to specialist if needed!

I often contemplate moving back to Idaho falls from Charlotte north carloina just so I can be under Dr. Perttula’s care again. I promise you there is noother doctor around like him. I have been to many different doctors in multiple different states and Dr.Perttula is one of a kind. Not only is he easy on the eyes, but he also LISTENS to you. There’s a huge problem in the world with paying too much money to see a doctor and not being listened to, this is not the case with him. I promise he cares about you and knows. He takes your concerns and questions and explains things from a professional perspective while making it easy for you to understand. Not only did he listen but he made sure all my questions were answered and all my concerns were heard. I always left feeling a million times better, all the bullet points in my notes had been brought up, and I didn’t feel like an idiot for it. Plus his laugh is contagious. It made me feel so good about myself when he would laugh at my jokes. He is one of a kind. Missing him and his amazing staff as we are 3,000 miles away. Two years later and I still haven’t found a doctor again quite like him. If you’re in Idaho falls, Rexburg, or any surrounding cities, YOU MUST go see him.

I highly recommend Dr. Perttula! He listens intently to my issues, takes them seriously with expert thoughtful questions, and then takes action to try to get to the root of the issue. He has a very pleasant bedside manner and has always given me the most excellent of care. His waiting room is very warm and inviting and I always enjoy my time there, which is not usually long at all. His staff is not only very friendly and accommodating, but also very capable and each gives excellent service. I am especially pleased that his office is in the Teton Medical Specialties Center with it’s beautiful Arboretum, where I usually spend some time relaxing, along with services that can accommodate lab tests, x-ray tests, etc. To have everything in the same facility is so convenient, saving me much time and hassle. Every time I leave his office and the Center, I find myself leaving with a smile, grateful to Dr. Perttula for giving me the opportunity to be one of his patients.

It's not always easy to find a doctor that will actually listen to you, which is one of the many reasons I appreciate Dr. Perttula. Often times it feels like a doctor decides his diagnosis within the first 30 seconds of talking to you. That isn't how Dr. Perttula operates. He listens to all of your symptoms and takes your thoughts and opinions into consideration. He outlines his treatment plan for you instead of just thrusting you at the next step. He prefers to try the simpler, cheaper tests before jumping to the most expensive, state-of-the-art option for every single problem. As a fat woman with a fat husband, I appreciate that he promotes weight loss and health WITHOUT dismissing all of our problems as caused by weight. He also never fat shames. He's a fantastic doctor.

Perttula, and Tara are my favorite doctors by far! We never have problems getting an appointment, even for the same day. Perttula listens and make me feel very comfortable. I'm so glad we started seeing him!

Dr. Pertulla has treated most of our family while our children were growing up. They all loved him. He is the standard by which they are choosing their doctors as they are all out of town. He listens to us. He knows us and is concerned about us. He will send us to a specialist if he feels it is warranted. We like and trust him.

Dr, Perttula is a very nice guy, yet is very direct. He listens to his patients and has a great sense for a person's health as-a-whole, and doesn't just treat symptoms.

Dr. Pertulla takes his time, listens, brainstorms WITH you to reach conclusions that improve your health in major ways. He does his research, keeps up on education and truly has your needs in mind when he determines treatments. I would not be here today if he hadn't chosen medicine as his passion. The best PCP in Idaho Falls.

Wonderful doctor and staff

I have been a client for 25 years, I started under Dr. Milum. Anyway, I recently quit my anti-depression medication and am struggling emotionally. I called to get help, but couldn't get past the lady at the front desk. No way to talk to the doctor other than an appointment. I understand they need to make dollar but they prescribed this medication and they should have acted more responsibly. Other than that recent incident this is a decent office, clean, well staffed and reasonably easy to get an appointment.

The office manager is very unprofessional, I had asked to see why they had sent bills to the wrong address and where they had gotten the address from as well as the date of service bill to see why insurance didn’t pick up what it had. The office manager took it upon herself to tell me that I needed to take accountability and then repeatedly asked me why I didn’t contact her back, proceeded to tell me I was incorrect and them sending letters to the correct address was my fault somehow. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. You should be treated with respect when you’re asking questions, lack of accountability on there end.

If you have any health problems whatsoever, don't bother!! They are only accepting healthy patients!!
I called Dr. Pertulla's Office looking for a new General Practitioner. His office staff told me that he was in fact taking new patients. I informed them that my husband was a patient of his. They asked a bunch of questions one might normally answer in an initial consultation and then told me that they would speak to him and get back to me the following Monday. I did not hear back from them so the following Wednesday afternoon, I called his office again. I went through the same questioning and was told they would consult with the doctor and get back to me by the end of the day. The response (sight unseen) was a recommendation that I see an Internist. I'm looking for a doctor who has gone into the business to help people. Not someone cherry picking who's healthy enough to make it easy for them!!
