Emergency Services at St. Luke's Elmore

I wanted to say thank you to the wonderful staff working today in the ER. From the lovely woman who got me registered and checked In to the nursing staff for being kind and compassionate. I really felt like my concerns were listened to and I was made as comfortable as possible. I wish I could remember everyone's names to personally thank each and everyone for taking amazing care of me today.

Super clean ER, staff was super friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Haley and Jordan took very good care of me. I do everything to avoid hospitals because of they anxiety they give me lol but definitely one of the few positive experiences I’ve had in a medical facility.

I wish I was in more of a state to thank you all personally tonight, but unfortunately I was not, so I would like to now. I miscarried my pregnancy this evening, and the care I received here by nurse Robin and the doctor on duty November 17th, 2020 at about 7 PM was extraordinary. It was one of the hardest nights of my life, and I received nothing but compassion and gentleness. I never get neglected or forgotten, even with the hectic bustle all around the emergency room.
I don’t know the correct words to use to explain how thankful I am, but I will never forget how kind you all were while I was looking a mess and at my lowest. Thank you.
These amazing people come in during this pandemic and still manage to comfort others and provide the most professional and efficient care possible. They deserve the world. They deserve more recognition than they likely receive.

I came in with a fever , nausea and redness on my leg. The doctor was very friendly and thorough. After blood tests- found out I was septic and right away he contacted another doctor at Boise to talk about options . Kept a watchful eye for a few hours and to be on the safe side sent me to st. Luke’s in Boise- ended up having necrotizing fasciitis ( flesh eating bacteria) . Spent 15 days in the hospital with multiple surgeries. I am very thanks for Dr. Marks! If he wasn’t so concerned and wanted to be on the safe side by sending me to where there was an ICU, I probably wouldn’t be here today! The nurses along with all the staff were very attentive and kind. I highly recommend this hospital!

The entire staff is always patient and kind. Very professional and knowledgable staff.

I'm want to start off by saying doctor Charme (my obgyn through my pregnancy) is absolutely fantastic and I would recommend him to anyone looking to have their baby at this hospital. What was upsetting was one of the radiology technicians who did my most recent ultrasound. Her name is Jasmine for anyone who wants to avoid being treated like you don't matter as a mother. She informed me that she would not show me my baby on the ultrasound and claimed it was not her job. Which no it's not. For clarity, radiology technicians are not allowed to tell you results besides what the heartbeat is because they are not the doctor, but what they are allowed to do is show you the ultrasound so you can at least see your baby. My husband stood beside me and he was able to see our baby. I pointed that fact out to Jasmine and she told me in a snotty and condescending tone "I can't control what he sees" so I laid there while she did my ultrasound bawling because all I wanted was to see my baby just like my husband was getting the opportunity to at that moment. If you have an appointment with radiology for an ultrasound make sure to check and see who your technician is. If it is Jasmine, I highly suggest changing your appointment because the other technicians are good. All around this hospital has been great to work with through out my pregnancy and so the only complaint I have at all is with Jasmine in radiology. Besides this one technician radiology is also good to work with for ultrasounds!

Lacking services and staff.

All I'm going to say is the night receptionist acts just like she looks....NASTY! Her attitude was lacking considering she works with the public.

My wife has been crying for over an hour sitting in emergency room after sitting there for an hour and they will not help her. They’re putting her back into another knee brace and refer her to another orthopedic. How many times do you have to get to an emergency room before they actually help you.

this place is awful, truly terrible. i was going through a crisis and they had me waiting for 2 hours! i walked out because the girl who was working 01/17/2023 at 6pm who was at the front desk was telling me how my case was not severe. i’m sorry but a little belly ache is not more severe than what i was going through and plenty of people came in for minor problems. this is called an EMERGENCY ROOM!! take care of your patients and don’t make them feel dumb. this is ridiculous.

I have an emergency situation. I call the front desk and ask to be transferred to labor and delivery to speak with a nurse and Destiny was playing goal keeper. Refused to transfer me to a nurse to answer my questions. Good job Destiny. You followed that policy so well.

They are very rude to my brotherinlaw and forced him to walk even though he isn't able to walk with out assistants at the moment he could hardly move just to get him in the car to go to the hospital in the first place. The guy at the front door even asked why he was limping I am upset that I can't go in with him to make sure that he is even going to be ok

Don't come here if your in a hurry or need ameadiate attention, , like anything thats life threatening. Needed about 10 stitches in a finger and we live half way between Mt home and Boise it was a toss up by 10 miles closer to go to Mt Home. Decided to go to Boise just due to the fact that the airhead I called at St Luke's in Mountain Home couldn't tell me if there was going to be a 15-minute wait or 2 hour wait she was too lazy to pick her head around the corner and see if the how many patients were sitting in the waiting room.
I die first before I go there.... By the way this isn't the first time dealing with Luke's in Mt. Home.

You can't go in to see family or spouse if you have a child. You also can't go in with you're spouse if someone else dropped them off. Very rude and unprofessional
