Had a reservation for another hotel that they canceled at last minute because they overbooked. Called here and they said they had plenty of rooms, told me the price(reasonable) and said come on down. Got there, check in was very simple. Sharon the night clerk was absolutely awesome & friendly. Got to the room and the room was very clean, tidy, did not smell, but most importantly there were no bed bugs!!!! The bed was very comfortable, laid down and was asleep very quickly. The ONLY thing I found wrong was there are not enough power outlets on either side of the bed. Normally not an issue, but both my wife & I have to use CPAP machines. I did not give 5 stars for location, mainly because it is near what looks like an oil refinery. Would I stay here again?? In a freaking heartbeat I would.

Highly recommend. Rooms were clean and quiet, front desk staff kind a attentive and best of all an AMAZING continental breakfast. Pleased with everything!!

It was at a convenient location close to the freeway and restaurants and yet nice and quiet. Good value.

With a mix-up in the reservation and arriving late after a long haul across country, the staff worked with us to resolve issues that arose from the online booking tool and miscommunications. I would go back, because they clearly take their jobs seriously and want to make sure everyone is taken care of.

I am staying here at this very nice motel for work and I am very happy with the services I received from a Day one. Every single staff I encountered were all super friendly and courteous. I have learned that housekeeping needs to clean guest rooms if you stay longer than three nights. Such a good feeling that you go to bed in a nice clean bed and use fluffy towels after the long hours of work. Thank you all for the professional work and the beautiful smiles shared (you can tell although hidden behind masks 😉😉).

We were desperately trying to find a last minute room after a different hotel we had reservations at was not able to accommodate us. But here, at the Locomotive Inn, Miss Sharon was able to provide a clean, comfortable, good sized room for an unbelievably reasonable rate at the very last second. They even had freshly baked cookies at check in! Cannot recommend them enough - give them a call and see if they have a room, even if it’s last minute! They also have an incredible breakfast bar with waffles, b&g, cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice, etc. I am beyond impressed and feel like I should’ve paid a whole lot more for these accommodations!

I never leave reviews but this place deserves one! While it is an older motel, it is one of the cleanest ones I’ve ever stayed in. I’m talking CLEAN…the bathroom was spotless. The service was wonderful as well. Great place to stay!

Great place, pure Americana. Sharon is exceptionally accommodating and very sweet. Wifi works great and the complimentary breakfast has eggs, sausage, and B&G. My room was clean and everything worked. Couldn't ask for a better place.

This place was really nice. I wasn't expecting much but the rooms were really nice and the staff and the breakfast were great. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

I loved this hotel, my husband and i had a great weekend, clean, cozy and affordable. Loved the area as it is accessible to stores and it felt very welcoming. They also had a washer and dryer which came in handy when i was ready to travel back to Texas.

We came into town late with a broken vehicle. We were able to stay the night and wait the next day till our car was fixed. Sharon at the front desk even offered to take us to our final destination. Super clean and AMAZING staff all around.

Rooms were super clean, affordable prices, above average continental breakfast and extremely friendly and professional staff. Thank you for an excellent experience, and I loved the Elvis memorabilia in the Lobby.

Just got back home from visiting family in Laurel. Stayed here for 3 nights in their economy accommodation. Nice room, clean, and not pricey..staff was great when questions arised. Had fantastic time visiting family and will be back in the spring.

Right downtown. Walking distance to several eateries. Clean rooms. Super friendly staff.

This place is ON THE ONE and I LOVE IT!

The people there TOOK CARE OF ME LIKE I WAS FAMILY! I stayed there long enough to become like family and for it to become my home. LOL

Seriously though, I have never been as sad to leave a place. I have never had all of my needs and request taken care of by staff as attentive and courteous as the friendly folks at the Locomotive Inn. It was a wonderful not to have to worry about anything and to just concentrate on doing the job that I was there for.

Yes, I'm naming names. I loved Tess', Sharon, Krystal, Stephanie and Christian; and there are more whose names I can't recall and I'm sorry. I never wanted for ANYTHING. WHATEVER I NEEDED, coffee, towels, cups, soap, whatever it was, whatever time, they took care of it! I wish there was a Tess and a Sharon in every extended stay lodging.

When I say CLEAN! CLEAN! CLEAN! that is exactly what I mean and these ladies out here DO NOT PLAY! They are ON IT and I appreciated that so much to make me safe and comfortable. Maintenance staff on top of everything! Everything in good working order and dependable. EVERYTHING! Premises SECURE AND SAFE always and Christian with maintenance and security made sure of it.

Did I forget the free breakfast!?! It's not what you would expect when you think about "free breakfast". Oh MY! Not too many places will get you Mmmm BISCUITS AND SAUSAGE GRAVY with free breakfast. Again, LIKE FAMILY they will also feed you. Hardees right across the street and I didn't bother going because everything I wanted to eat was right there at the BREAKFAST and very GENEROUS!

The only things I would have changed about the stay are the size of the rooms and the hot water tanks- a bit small; but in the end that's structural and it is probably the way they can provide the lodging at such an economical rate. PLUS-- I forgot you also get free daily passes for use of the Locomotive Gym/Fitness center next door which is very nice.

I cannot say enough good about this place and my experience here--I need to go back and change my stars-- I give FIVE - fresh baked cookies in the lobby each evening. :) I don't know where else I've been shown such hospitality so I needed to make sure others know this and how much I appreciated it.

This is definitely the way to support local! Great prices and fabulous up to date room. Breakfast was extended Continental and super yummy! Desk super friendly! Totally recommend!

Very clean rooms. Real Kleenex tissues. Good toilet paper. Ample parking for trailers also. Soft and clean fluffy white towels.
