Awesome food! We had fall off the bone ribs which comes with 3 sauces, pulled pork, brisket and bison ribs all was absolutely delicious. For the sides, we had mac and cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy, collard greens, cornbread and side salads. I do not know what they do to the mashed potatoes but I could eat a gallon of them! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back!

McAllister Smokehouse is reopened as of March 1st, 2024. New Menu. I first had the Smokehouse Pizza and Honey Buffallo wings with Canolis for dessert. Both phenomenal. Today, had the bourbon bacon cheeseburger upgraded to sweet potatoes fries (Fresh cut and fried in house) also amazing. Kitchen manager Robert is doing great things! Check it out.

Food is amazing. Great steakhouse, but a little on the pricy side. You get what you pay for! During the summer, it gets busy the later you wait...we try and get there around 5 or 5:30 so we don't have to wait for seating on the bar side.

The room we stayed in, #2, was really nice! Nice decor, seemed to be remodeled if not a new build, and the price of the room was reasonable. Only complaint was our bed seemed outdated and quite uncomfortable to us, so did not sleep the greatest. Check in/out extremely easy and the vending machine was nice. Also went and had dinner at the bar/lounge and enjoyed our food very much. There is a separate menu for the bar from the restaurant, we gravitated more toward the food served from the bar side so we enjoyed some great drinks while we were at it. As someone who is involved in agriculture, I really appreciated the fact that they incorporated local beef into the menu. Thanks again.

Very cool place to have lunch or dinner. The food is absolutely amazing and if I may I strongly recommend the ribeye. You can just cut it put it in your mouth and let it melt!

Great food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Stopped on our way through last minute and were pleasantly surprised. Filet had a delicious sear. Short ribs were unbelievably tender.

Best burger and truffle fries paired with the Old Fashioned! Rooms are spectacular too!

The filet mignon was excellent, as was the French onion soup. Would like to see them add top sirloin to their menu, but their current offerings should satisfy most people. The only other critique I have is that I was charged a dollar more for my dish than what was listed on the menu, so they should fix the menu prices or what they charge for things.

The Inn provides clean, classic and comfortable lodging in small-town Montana. Pet friendly with an off-leash dog run area that your pooch is sure to enjoy. Our King Room was a cozy room away from home as we were snowed-out due to drifts from the wind. Many details were considered when crafting these rooms from dimmable lighting, an oversized shower with bench seating and additional heating, a good-sized mini-fridge with working freezer, lovely writing desk and tasteful art and furnishings. The patio area with breathtaking views is a lovely bonus which includes a picnic table and chair to enjoy the mountain scape with your furry family.
Dining at the McAllister Steakhouse is always a treat and a timeless experience.
Lost Heart Ranch beef is curated and created to perfection for your palate! Burgers and steaks alike are fantastic and will not disappoint. Don't skip the Caeser salad!
McAllister's classic steakhouse menu is sure to please all ages, and the staff is hospitable and entertaining! Belly up to the gorgeous live edge bar to enjoy a hearty meal over stories and laughs shared with locals and travelers.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. We were traveling with our dog and she greatly appreciated the fenced dog area. We were only sorry we couldn’t stay a few more nights. We would definitely stay here again.

Lodging- you won't find any place that's better if you're in Ennis or McAllister. Large rooms and super clean. Laundry room and vending machine on premises. Each room has a back porch with spectacular views of the mountains.

Restaurant- Hands down my Favorite place to dine. The beef is from the Lone Heart ranch down the road. The Walleye is hugely popular. The shrimp cocktail is my favorite appetizer.

Such delicious food and friendly staff. By far the best food we had on our whole vacation. Would love to eat here again someday!

The meals here are always consistently delicious. Homemade soups, great steaks (from the owners ranch) plenty of other choices and irresitable desserts (chocolate mousse with raspberries, creme brulee are my favorites). Higher in price than your average place but well worth it for the great service and knowing that whatever you order will be fresh and well made. Western decor, friendly bar with tables, quiet dining rooms and fireplace. Our favorite local place.

Quiet, quaint, and quality hotel! In the middle of nowhere but not too far from grocery store, restaurants, and a good middle hub if visiting Bozeman or Yellowstone. Beautiful room with high ceilings, private back patio is a nice touch to each room. Will definitely return!

We arrived at 8pm and the dining room was booked but the bar room was first come first serve so we went and found a table. Our waitress got us some extra chairs and was so nice about getting us seated! The food was great! The appetizer basket was so good! I loved the cheese curds. We had the walleye sandwich. It was great! The French onion soup was delicious! We had the beef stew. My son cleaned the bowl. We had the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection! We had the Philly cheese steak. My daughter said it's the best she's ever had. Oh and to not leave out. The RIBS!!! Omg! The fall off the bone good! We had such a good meal! Best we've had since leaving Alabama, heading to Anaconda! JULIA is the best!!!! Sit in the bar section and let her take care of you! I promise you won't be disappointed!!!❤

This was my second time here. I am visiting from Missouri and we are going to eat here again Saturday afternoon. The food is extraordinary and our server was very kind and helpful. Lonestar Bacon Cheeseburger, Bacon Mac and Cheese, Crispy Brussels Sprouts with a piece of coconut pie to take home. All amazing and can't wait till lunch on Saturday!

Don’t let the outside appearance fool you, this place is awesome.. a local s**t kicking bar up front and a 5 star restaurant in the back.. I’ve been there 4 times in under a month, all the food was fantastic!! Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Bison, Ribeye, and the Fillet we’re perfect!! It’s not cheap, but felt happy to pay the bill…

Make reservations!! They will text you a confirmation and your all set!!

Very very Happy!!

Absolutely superb! After a long day of driving through Yellowstone, headed to Missoula, we were tired and hungry. Imagine our surprise as we happen by the McAllister Steakhouse. We'd never been to this part of the country, and didn't know what we might or might not find along the way. So, we decided to stop and were rewarded with one of the best steak dinners we've ever had. The steaks were both nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. The tasty twice-baked potatoes were excellent as well. We arrived fairly late in the evening, but the restaurant was impeccably clean and the service absolutely perfect. Very, very highly recommended!

After a long day exploring the area, we decided to head back to our hotel and just grab dinner at the steakhouse across the parking lot. What an unexpected treat! Everything was delicious; the fish was so fresh but the braised rib was to die for delicious. ...another hidden gem!

I was a server at a steakhouse for 6 years and I rarely even leave ratings. However, that was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Server was polite and knew the menu well. The Huckleberry Lemondrop was made the classic way and tasted phenomenal. Great atmosphere and seating. 5 stars, 100%, top- notch.
