During the week, expect to have nearly the whole park to yourself! Situated on the Applegate River, it is perfect for picnics, kids, picking blackberries, swimming, birding, fishing, and playing with dogs. Throughout the park are interpretive signs, Cheryl Garcia's beautiful sculptures, a little free library, a wonderful playground, little hiking trails, spawning salmon, tadpoles and lizards, and a plethora of wildflowers in the spring and summer.

I have only camped going towards the coast, this time we went the other way. I really enjoyed camping here. It wasn't to crowded..it was very quiet..and remote yet close to so many things...our camp host was amazing and friendly..but you can tell she runs a tight ship which was beneficial because after ten it was very quiet...we saw deer coming thru and many other animals like lizards and squirrels...the day use area was also very cool with a playground and places to fish..not to many swimming holes but we also were not looking very hard for those in our trip.

This is one of our FAVORITE parks in the county! I love that the play structure is in the shade, makes playtime in the summertime so much better for kids. Amd its a great place for lunch with an awesome view of the river!

One of the most beautiful parks I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Over 50 years of love has been poured into this park despite obstacles that it has faced and it really shows. Anytime I am near the Applegate community I will always go out of my way to visit this park. There is seating, trashcan, sculptures, BBQs, a river you can swim in (or go panning, a park, bathrooms, a volley ball net, trails, etc. You name it, this park has it. Wildlife everywhere. One of the best parks Oregon has to offer.

It's always beautiful 😍 make sure when you go anywhere in nature you leave things nicer than when you came there. I picked up so much trash on the way out and there is literally trash cans in the parking lot. Please be respectful 🙏 Have fun.

Large park and campground. Has a sand volleyball court, large playground and multiple spots for river access. Lots of walking trails and paths.

Really super park! Lots of grass to picnic with family. A playground/park for the littles, the river is quite shallow in places and still - so young ones can't really float off. Lots of parking. Only $4.00 entry.

Pretty empty during the winter and still very clean and usable. Our family enjoyed a nice play ground, the river, lunch tables and a nice trail that goes along a quaint little creek.
Area is very large and well kept and I will surely go back as often as I can. Not a single complaint.

This was a awesome little park for the kids and adults. Plenty of swimming and there's a big rock you can jump off of too! My son and husband had a great time jumping off the rock. We swam and took the grand kid's.

The kids love it. The water is colder than the Illinois River, but it is closer for us and a great spot to wade and play. The park has several hundred yards of frontage and the kids will float from one end to the other.

Great place to take a dip in the Applegate River on a hot summer day. Bring a personal floatie and take a float.

Great place for a family picnic on a weekday during the summer. There was almost no one else there when we went on a Monday night. Everything is very clean, lots of space for the kids to play sports and have fun floating down the river. Great place for a family.

Took a group of girl scouts camping. It was so cool to walk them from the campground to the park for activities. And yes, it was a bit of a March, but still worth it. They loved playing at the playground, bathrooms (in park and campground) were always clean, and even though the water level was too high for swimming I was glad that the park host warned us about that.
