If you ever get the chance to meet Beth Jacobsen, you will know she’s not only an amazing person but also the most knowledgeable and supportive realtor I had the pleasure of holding my hand through the home buying process. As a first time home buyer, and a single female on top of that, I really didn’t have a clue as to the way things naturally go in one of the most stressful processes of my life. I only say that due to the fact that real estate, escrow, and anything financial are completely out of my “wheelhouse”.

The beginning: Beth showed me a few places in the area, with variety of differences so that I could get a better understanding of what would meet my needs. She was transparent and brought up things that I never would have considered.

The middle: I had an FHA loan and working with a builder on new construction. Beth was there to calm my nerves during a roller coaster of a process with preparing for underwriting, getting through underwriting, and all with a very quick timeline. She knew what to look for and advocated for me through the process concerning both the financial and builder part of things.

The end: I could not have kept it together without Beth, as my original title company was cyberhacked and this placed everything on hold for days. She was absolutely amazing with working her contacts for more information, realistic estimates, and planning for these changes last minute. She advocated to get my file to another company to manage and minimize the delay in closing. With her by my side, I closed only 2 days later than planned, had the support to not lose my mind, and am now sitting in my amazing house that fits more than my needs. She also ensured (and has continued to do so) that I am settled and have knowledge of the community and resources.

I cannot say enough positive things about Beth. I trust her inexplicitly, and I did not have the same feeling from the other realtors I worked with prior to meeting Beth. If you want the process done right with someone who has your best interests as a priority, she is the person to work with… and probably just to have in your life.

My father, Terry, rented from Shawn Dunn for over 3 years, and he is amazing! We had great communication with him throughout my family's time living there, as he was such a fantastic realtor, and having him as our landlord was such a pleasure. I have been renting from Shawn Dunn at Windermere for 2 years now and It has been a joy. The house for one is an excellent value and has stayed consistently reasonable. I lived in an apartment before this and repairs were always a luxury and usually were not handled in a prompt manner. Shawn makes sure a professional is getting back to me same day in some cases. I was not too impressed with this local branch of Windermere. The real estate agent was very nice and at the beginning everything seemed great. However, we saw a house we liked, applied and paid two screening fees for a total of $50. We were told that we would just be waiting for approval and it usually only takes 24-48 hours. Four days later, we still had not heard back from Windermere so I called. At that point I was told that someone else had applied and they would be deciding who they liked better. Then I called back the next day and was told they chose someone else. What?? If we saw the property first and applied first we should get the property as long as our credit and background checks come back okay. And if we weren't the first to apply, we should have been told that ahead of time. Because of this we lost an entire week of looking at other properties, our credit report got dinged from the credit check, and we lost $50. I think it is wrong to take people's money and make them think all they are waiting for is the result of a background and credit check. It took us a month to finally find a place in town that was decent and affordable and now we are back to square one. Not a happy customer. I would rate this company with one star, but I will give it two because the agent was very nice.

If I could give 'no stars' to Windermere Propert Mgt. of McMinnville Oregon, I would.

My advice is to simply "run the other way" from this company!

I have never in my life seen so little professionalism. It is not a stretch, at all, to say they are dishonest. I have no idea how Shawn Dunn can live with himself, or even sleep at night.
