Troutwater Fly Shop

My wife and I had never been fly fishing before yesterday. Sam had us catching some beauties before we even finished learning how to cast!

Thank you, Sam and Troutwater. You were an excellent guide, teacher, and host. We will see you again the next time we’re in town.

An unfortunate aspect of fly fishing is you tend to come across a lot of grumpy, stuck up fly shops. Not the case here! Friendly and eager to help you get to the right spot on the water. Will definitely be back

Rarely write these reviews but I went fishing with Bennett and had a great time! He knew all the spots on the river so we caught fish all day. Good guy too. Will definitely be booking with him again and can’t recommend Troutwater Fly Shop enough!

Troutwater is my #1 fly shop. I owe a majority of my success on the Yakima to Doug. His fly suggestions and advice have always been top notch. The Troutwater guides that have drifted by while I’ve been wading have always been extremely polite and professional.

My fishing buddy and I last week took a full day trip down the Yakima river with Troutwater. Great day of fly fishing, caught dozens of rainbow and cutthroat. Doug in the shop got it scheduled and was very informative.

Bennett was fantastic. He was very patient and very helpful with my friend that was a beginner. He has my friend totally ready to go again! He was a great help to me too with his suggestions. We had a great time. Very laid-back, and no-pressure. Always gave positive feedback and suggestions. I will use him many times more. A really great guide!

Great shop off of main - went in and spoke to Doug who helped me get set up with flies and a spot to go cast in. A lot of options in there with quality gear. Many thanks!

Hands down this is your fly shop. Whether getting a guide for the day on the Yakima or elsewhere, needing some gear, or some beta, this is your flyshop. My experience has made me a loyal customer for life. They also run shuttles including the upper reaches of the Yakima.

Mike, our guide was knowledgeable of the river. We had a fabulous time. The day was gorgeous. Would highly recommend a trip down the Cle Elum/Yakima Rivers.

We went both, fishing and did a water float down the river with these guys. We went with John, Zack and Sarah:All great guides! They were able to manage a group that included a 78 year old, a 5 year old and everything in between with professionalism, care and humor. They were knowledgeable about the wildlife, river and community. Zack, knowing that our 9 year old loves fishing, spent so much time with him, showing him casting, setting up bait, looking for bait, talking about bugs, etc. Really great crew, really great food, amazing service.

Great Company. Ted worked diligently on some Patagonia Face Masks that I couldn't find anywhere. He took a lot of time to track down a few different styles and kept me updated throughout the whole process. Thanks for the great customer service!!

I rarely write reviews, but the service and support Johnny Boitano and Troutwater provided me was exceptional. Communications were great leading up to the float. Johnny was flexible with some uncertainty in my travel and easily accomodated my visit. A true professional, he not only put me on fish, but made me a better angler. He also helped me with a personal goal by catching a Cutty on a fly I tied myself!

Went out with Scott (one of the shop guides) yesterday and had an awesome day. We got >10 fish to the boat and must have lost another 20. It was not accident - Scott put us on the fish with the right flies. Best winter fishing day I've ever had. Thanks for the memories!

We had a perfect day on the river with Ted. It was an enjoyable trip as the river was pretty low, flat and calm - which is what we were looking for today. Ted was very pleasant and wanting to make sure we had a wonderful experience. We Did!!!

I gave had 2 great guide trips form Flywater nothing fancy just goodbfushing. Helpful tips string knowledge of the river, and friendly people. We caught a bunch of fish with these guys

Best Fly Shop on the east side of the state. Guides provide excellent service and raft trips are a blast.
