Sake Thai & Sushi Bar

Checked the internet for a lunch spot near us. This place *sounded* good. Well let me tell you, it not only sounds good, it’s beyond delicious! EVERYTHING, and I’m serious, everything was amazing. Sake is now at the top of our favorites list.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sake Thai & Sushi Bar in Stafford, VA, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From start to finish, everything was perfect, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves delicious food and outstanding service.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and inviting, with beautiful decor and a warm, friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The menu is extensive and offers a wide variety of Thai and Japanese dishes, as well as a fantastic selection of sushi. But the real standout for me was the Mango Tango sushi roll - it was simply amazing, so delicious you'll cry your own tears. The combination of fresh, juicy mango with tender crab and creamy avocado was a taste sensation that I'll never forget.

But it wasn't just the Mango Tango that made this dining experience so memorable. Every dish that I tried was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor, and the service was exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations, and the entire staff was attentive and friendly throughout our meal.

Overall, I cannot recommend Sake Thai & Sushi Bar highly enough. Whether you're a sushi lover, a fan of Thai cuisine, or just looking for a great place to enjoy a delicious meal, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. 5 stars all the way!

Great lunch menu and value. My boyfriend and I both ordered a shot of sake which came out and we both got a bottle…for $7! We couldn’t finish it but $7 is great 😂 The bento box was plenty of food but we had also ordered a lunch pad thai and two specialty rolls. The island roll was very flavorful! The marine roll wasn’t anything special. The pad thai and pad see ew in my bento box was very good. We brought home about 1 whole roll, half pad thai, and 1/3 of pad see ew and rice.

Sake is our favorite restaurant. We've been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the service is top-notch. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond to make sure every experience is a memorable one. The true star of the show is their sushi. Every piece is expertly crafted and absolutely bursting with flavor. The fish is always fresh and the rice is perfectly seasoned. I especially love their Navy Roll (its my go to). My wife is a vegetarian, and loves the Yaki Udon Noodles. Give Sake a try, you won't be disappointed!

We ordered delivery. Portions were much bigger than other Thai restaurants in the area and flavor is excellent. Great amount of spice

Five stars all around!!! I had Susan as my waitress and she was the sweetest. I had the first love roll, fried donuts, and the sticky rice; highly recommend!!! Everything was absolutely delicious!

I've been coming to Sake since they first opened. The food is fantastic and some of the best Thai and Sushi in the area. The staff area always nice and they offer extremely spicy options if you desire. The beef basil is delicious!

This place is awesome! They made me a custom sushi order just the way I like it and the goyza is on point. Their pho is out of this world! I highly recommend that you stop in and say hi to one of their great staff members!

Loved our experience! We sat in a corner booth with our toddlers for a nice dinner out. Our server, Rose, was phenomenal. They were out of the Japanese Sake that we originally ordered, but our server immediately suggested another cloudy sake that hit the spot (for the same price). The portions match the price, which is exactly what we were looking for in Stafford. We’ve been unhappy with the smaller rolls at other sushi restaurants in the area. The restrooms were also nice and clean. We will be back!

Wide variety of Asian fusion dishes. The Sake flavors were out of this world!

Sake never disappoints! I love everything we have ordered from here. From Panang, pho, to teriyaki, it is all perfectly cooked and spiced to your own preference. This is my favorite local (I live 20 miles south) Asian fusion restaurant!

Update: two years later and I still love this place. Best in the area from Stafford to Spotsy. The crab ragoon purses are crispy, perfect little pouches of deliciousness. The sushi is exceptional and the fish is so fresh , it nearly melts in your mouth. The pho is enough for two days and the broth is very yummy. The service is always spot on! The veggies, in the Panang, are perfectly cooked and the suace is the best I have ever had. The teriyaki is tender and perfectly sweet.

Minor possible things I suggest:
It has gotten pricey, but then again, what hasn't.

I took my leftover pho home and their takeout container leaked all over the bag and our leftover sushi. Next time I will ask for a separate bag for the pho since the container is not leakproof. In retrospect, our waiter did offer a separate bag for the pho, but he didn't tell me the container may not be leakproof.

The sweetened teas are super sweet, and I love sweet teas, but they are too sweet for us. They will do half sweet and half unsweetened, which is what we do.

I always order take out from here. I love it so much, I drive from out of state sometimes to eat it.

I online ordered for pickup, since I’m new to the area and wanted better than grocery store sushi. Even just smelling my food in the bag, I knew it was going to be good. The lunch special was a good deal, where I got the ebi, kanni and spicy krab rolls. The former two were simple to my tastes (which is quite nice if you also like nigiri) and I loved the spicy krab.

Early and easy pickup, I recommend it a lot. I’ll probably come in for sit down eventually, given how good it was.

I thought lunchtime on a Friday would be super crowded, but luckily for us it wasn't. We were seated immediately and got our food quickly with excellent service. I ordered a Spicy Girl Roll and my friend got a sautéed chicken and vegetables in ginger sauce. I always enjoy their curry, so I got 2 to have for dinner later. Sake has a wonderful assortment of Thai, Japanese, and sushi menu items, in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

First time eating here. Our waiter gave us great recommendations. He brought us their spice tray. If you like spicy food this is the place. We ordered spice level 2 and that was the perfect level as you feel the spice but not overwhelmed by it.

Our family of 7 enjoyed a celebratory dinner here. I was presented with the check and automatically added a tip without checking the bill.
Later I thought maybe for large parties a tip might be added automatically and it was BUT I WAS NOT CHARGED FOR THE DUPLICATE TIP.
I am very grateful for their professionalism and one more reason to recommend this restaurant
