Every local Omak person I know told me to get dinner here. And I'm so glad they did. The atmosphere was joyful fun and welcoming. Chips and homemade salsa were served quickly. Pedro the server kept the whole room well served and entertained. Laughter was had by everyone in the room. Now the food: the mole sauce my enchilada was bathed in was amazing. And The crema sauce on my other enchilada was delicious. Pedro brought out three jalapeños to accompany my dinner and they kicked just the right amount. EAT AT EL PORTAL.

This is our favorite restaurant in town! We love the amazing food, ambiance, and superb customer service. Everyone is friendly, hardworking and helpful. Our favorites: Fajita burrito, Gordo burrito and steak dinner with steamed veggies. They make an excellent margarita as well. Love it!

Had the carnitas burrito and loved it. The Pollo bravo was delicious too. A little skimpy on the chicken but it is what it is these days. Very good food.

I lived in SoCal growing up, there was a woman that stood outside a store and sold tamales for $1. This restaurant was the closest I've found to authenticity, and her Tamales. I've been to about 10 Mexican restaurants, this is by far the best food, and excellent staff.

Staff was so friendly and attentive.
Food was delicious, I got the chile relleno and chicken enchilada combo, add a little bit of the salsa that came with the chips and 👌 yum!
For dessert they also had a chip with ice cream, whipped cream and cinnamon honey which was the perfect way to top off the meal.

Best Mexican food in Washington State. Authentic and fresh. They don’t skimp on anything. Staff is amazing. Safe and clean and COVID ready. Must stop for lunch if your passing through. We make this a special stop after a weekend in the hills camping before we return home towards the coast.

Great place been eating here since it opened 10+ years ago. Server is nice and take knows what i order until i switched it up.

I don’t give many reviews but the quality of this meal was so good that I felt that I had to. Our family of four came on a Friday evening. The food came really fast. All the servers were very friendly. Our meals were fantastic and large. We weren’t able to finish our portions and we didn’t even order appetizers. Will definitely be back.

Food and service were great.

Super fast service for seating, chips and salsa, water, drinks, food. I enjoyed a massive taco salad with shredded chicken and it was less than $10 (without gratuity). Very good value. Highly recommended.

Absolutely outstanding dining experience! I always love treating myself and my friends to a meal from El Portal, it's like going to your grammas quality food, and the service is beyond impeccable, clean is not an accurate word to describe the care the team takes to make sure they and their establishment are presentable and the clientele is comfortable.

The service was amazing the food was quite quick. Huge portions and everything was hot and tasted great! The side dishes that were complimentary we great! Came from Kelowna, Canada and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!!!

This place is amazing Beyond!
My Dad Myron Mead lived in the Okanogan Omak area and loved El Portal dinned here at least once a week. He passed away last November and this past weekend we celebrated him there. These people are the best gave us the best service wonderful food. We also have gone there before when we visited and loved the place. They went out of there way to reserve a spot for 14 of us on a Friday night one of there busiest nights to give us the best. Thank you to El Portal

This is mine and my wife's favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Awesome food, fast, friendly, helpful servers, good drinks what else to say. Absolutely love this place, I wish they'd open another location in OK as well!

Don’t let the outside fool you. Very nice on the inside. Very friendly staff and delicious food. They give a special tray at the end of the meal which was great.
Passing through but I’d eat here again!
