Golden 1 Credit Union

Everyone I have encountered at this branch is awesome !!! They are all so friendly and knowledgeable. I have 3 banks closer to my home but I chose to only bank with Golden one because of their customer service.

I think the bank employees are excellent. Very friendly. You feel welcomed (unlike Wells Fargo in Jackson). Never rushed

I had a GREAT experience with Steven recently at this branch. Very professional and courteous. Resolved my issue quickly and accurately. Keep up the excellent work!

Steven and Zach are awesome, always get great customer service from these guys and my local G1 branch!

I sad that this location is closing.

Staff is very friendly and they work very hard to make their customers happy, I always enjoy their attitude and customer service skills.

That being said, something needs to be done for their lines going out the door... trying to meet with a teller on your lunch can eat up over 30 minutes of just waiting in line.

Great place to bank, but very frustrating lines.

Helpful, capable staff. Never had any problems banking here. More complex needs were handled with professionalism and accuracy.

I wish they never closed the Ione branch..the lines in the one in Jackson are horrible! Only have 2 tellers..the one in ione had 3 or 4

Wonderful customer service, all staff have been very helpful, lines are a bit slow, but that's expected, being that this particular bank is smaller than many other banks.
Overall very kind and helpful staff, been able to help even me, BUT, their hours are very inconvenient, they open at 10 unlike every other institution that opens at 9, and they close very early (2pm) on saturdays.

Line regularly out the door. Staff are friendly but it’s terrible they closed the branch in Ione. Might need to look for a new bank after 20+ years.

Painfully slow lines and employees just chat all day with each other.

I have been with Golden 1 Credit Union, Jackson for nearly 30 years. Since the Ione Branch closed, our branch has had an extremely endless, long line, pretty much any day you go in. The manager, Stacey, will sit at her desk and gab with a co-worker, who appears to be on his lunch break, all the while turning away customers inquiring about opening new accounts (I watched as it happened, twice, this afternoon). Such horrible customer service, especially seeing as only 1 window of 3 were open today (Stacey should be working a window!). GET IT TOGETHER, Golden 1, I’m about done with you! Sadly, this has been my third issue with this bank in regards to lazy customer service in the last 6 months. Too much competition out there to have such a horribly managed branch as the Jackson Branch.

After finally getting to the front of the line…40+ minutes, Stacey informed me she’s not allowed to help customers even when the bank only has one teller working because she’s not on that system. If this is true, it is a PATHETIC business practice and NEEDS to be changed! Wow!

***Update!!! I talked with Stacey’s supervisor, Charlene Short, and found Stacey lied to me. She is able to help customers and is expected to do so when needed as in the above situation. Stacey should also be walking the bank regularly talking to her customers. Integrity is everything, Stacey.

This situation is pretty eye opening if you ask me. Most honestly, if things don’t improve quickly, it will be time to walk across the parking lot to a friendly, more customer centered bank. I can’t continue to wait 30 to 60 minutes, on a regular basis, in a line to do bank business.

Went in for a notary. While waiting in unusually short line. A gentleman came in behind me and waited in line. He asked an associate, that appeared to be doing nothing, if he could help with car loan. Yes he said. Geez, kinda thought he should've asked me seeing as I had a bunch of papers in hand. So I asked woman that had done notary for me before if she could help. I believe she is manager. Told me to sign in on clipboard and wait for that other associate to help me. Waited 15 minutes so I asked the customer and associate if they'll be another 15-20 minutes and they said yes. That would make over a half hour. I did learn I can make an appointment. It's almost as hard.

Slow. Not enough experience. Need to bring back the ione branch
