Orchard Restaurant

We stumbled upon Orchard Restaurant when passing by Cle Elum and we had a great experience.

Orchard Restaurant serves up a thoughtful rotating menu. We had a few beverages from their cocktail menu and were pleasantly surprised by the creations. The ginger pear martini was delicious.

The homemade ragu pasta was very good; perfectly cooked and came together with the sauce with good balance. The rustic roasted chicken with marsala sauce was decent, but I thought the sauce could have been done with a bit more finesse, and the chicken could have been cooked a touch less for more tenderness. Fried chicken and waffles were better than average, and the bacon sauce paired well with the ice-cream, though the chicken batter was slightly over-fried leading to some bitterness. We were served spicy salt on the side, which was a nice addition, but it was slightly impractical to use, albeit very aesthetic (a larger pinch-bowl would have been easier to use). The ginger crumble cake for dessert at the end was delicious.

The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcomed.

Even though it was not perfect, the food was cooked with good fundamentals and sparks of creativity, and I think it can excel further with a little more finesse in its flavors and techniques.

Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here and we were pleased to see a restaurant with chefs who care about their cooking (which is evidently hard to come by these days). We do plan to return in the future. Recommended!

I stopped by for an early dinner and did the chef's choice three course meal. Every option was amazing. Ontop of the food, the staff was chatty and fun. Sitting at the kitchen I was able to talk with the chef as she prepared my meal which made for a very unique experience.

The Orchard was a delightful dining experience. From the very beginning to being seated, to dessert, what a wonderful flavorful meal! My compliments to all, especially the chef.

First time trying out Orchard Restaurant and we had such a great experience! AMAZING food, drinks and service! We ordered the chilled soup, pork belly, roasted chicken and steelhead, and everything was delicious! If you’re a coffee lover like me, order the espresso martini, it’s so good! Will come back here again when we’re in town!

Asked the owner to serve their specialties, without even looking at the menu. They didn't disappoint! 🤩
Best version of cauliflower i ever tasted! Plain, simple and super good with the sweet vinegar and raisins 😋
Everything came with dark, bitter-sweet beer, that was perfect with the cauliflower.
Followed by a perfectly made NY strip (I think, not sure.. as I said, I let the owner decide what to serve)
Closed the meal with local made amaretto sour!
Best walk in so far! You should really put in your bucket list when visiting this area.
Oh, and the service 🤩 was more than perfect. Family, warm and super welcoming))
Enjoyed it a lot.

Our group received warm service since the second we stepped in. Overall service was fast and friendly. Decor and ambience are rustic but also chic. My favorite items on the menu were the cauliflower, burrata salad and mushroom gnocchi. Ribeye steak and chicken entree were also enjoyed by others in the group. Bread pudding with banana Foster was a great finish to a wonderful dinner. It was easy to find a table on Friday night.

This was our second visit to The Orchard, so we knew the food and atmosphere would be great. We had the special New Year's Eve 6 course meal and it was absolutely spectacular. Can't rave enough about the food here! Also the service is exemplary. Our server was attentive and very sweet and everyone was so welcoming. The drinks were top notch too (I'm obsessed with the nutty old man: an old fashioned with noccino). Don't miss this place if you have a chance to visit.

Absolutely amazing! Going there as a vegan I was worried about not being able to eat anything except maybe some green beans but the chefs went above and beyond! I even had to ask the chef, Chuck, for his gravy recipe and another chef whose name I didn’t catch. Will be back again, highly recommend the Coal Miners Dream? (Not sure if that was the name but it’s made with cherry lime soda and activated charcoal and other good ingredients to make a delicious sparkly cocktail)

We went to two of their cocktail creation classes. Learned a bit of the history & origin of the cocktails. Great experience & tasty pairings to go with it!

Wonderful meal. The baby got more of the pork belly than I did. Luckily I got the mescalita to myself.

The mushroom and gnocchi dish was delightful. The gnocchi were perfect little pillows.

Great spot for a nice classy meal with a homey feel. You won't have a huge food selection, but every dish is well designed and prepared.

Easy 5 stars - high quality food well worth the price! I had the cauliflower and the mushroom gnocchi and it did not disappoint. If you’re into cocktails, they also make their own amaretto, limoncello and other infused liquors.

Perfection. Extremely talented chef/owner with excellent attention to details in all aspects of the experience for their customers. Daughter served our table and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and had great presence at the table. It’s hard to find great local fresh ingredients in December but the magic they created with the locally foraged mushrooms is unmatched by any restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. This was on the level of some of the Michelin star restaurants I’ve eaten at. Thank you for a great experience and best of luck to you ladies!

The bartenders are nice and super knowledgeable. Their craft cocktails, including the French 75 and nutty old-fashioned, were amazing but one that’s not on the menu is Wendy’s special - made with falernum, dandelion jam or “poor man’s honey”, muck cherry, and ginger beer. Doesn’t have a name yet!

Absolutely incredible atmosphere, amazing staff and delicious food. I couldn’t have enjoyed my time more. Thank you to all the hardworking kitchen and waitstaff, you all are incredible :)

Such an amazing addition to the Cle Elum dining options. True farm to table style dishes. Fresh, local, and amazingly delicious. Staff was super knowledgeable and the flavors of everything we tried were on point. Can’t wait to go back.

We chose Orchard for our 30th wedding anniversary this November and this weekend will be celebrating 2 other milestones with the family a college graduation and a birthday. Chef is so personable and food delicious !

Staff were awesome, and service was great! Kitchen has open concept and you can literally see your food be cooked and plated! Wilted salad was great, and the burgers were juicy and freshly made. 10/10 would recommend! Keep up the good work!

Aug2021 alot has been worked out. No longer the most expensive local restaurant, great options, fabulous cocktails and service. This visit was for charcuterie, cocktails and we ended our evening with the pot de creme. It is on our regular list! 2018 A new gem in Cle Elum. Higher price and smaller servings than usual fare in town but Excellent place for a fine farm to table meal. Plus well prepared cocktails. We've gone twice already and will make it a regular go to spot for more special meals and/or cocktails.
