Relaxing, beautiful, tasty cruise on the Lake!

We've lived in California for over 30 years. And although we've been to Tahoe numerous times, we'd never cruised the lake before. Our hotel concierge recommended this lunch cruise and he was right.

It was an idyllic day, great weather despite being the end of November. We were picked up by a bus at our hotel (Marriott Grand Residence) and it was only a few minutes away from the pier.

The captain provides commentary on the local sites as you cruise. There is ample time to take scenic photos. There is plenty of seating inside and out, in the winter they take fewer guests to make sure there is enough indoor room in case it's too cold outside.

Lunch consisted of chicken cordon bleu, pulled pork sandwiches, cole slaw and clam chowder. We had brownies for dessert and hot cocoa. Mixed drinks, beer and wine were also served. The crew was really nice and all in all we had a fabulous time.

We were married aboard the Safari Rose in September 2019. We love the boat and her history and still pinch ourselves that this was our wedding venue! As with most weddings, not everything went "to plan" ...but UNLIKE most weddings, this is on a boat...and it was cool!!! The boat itself is wonderful, add to that the scenery with the majestic trees and the gorgeous Lake Tahoe water and what a backdrop for wedding pictures! The entire process from booking the venue to the actual wedding day was painless! Although we did have a caterer on board to serve guests, the crew was fabulous went way above and beyond to ensure the drinks flowed smoothly, and that everyone was happy! I cannot wait for September 2020 so we can take an anniversary cruise at sunset! Thank you Safari Rose!!!

Great time aboard the Safari Rose. The Captain was unbelievable! He did an awesome job and made us feel welcomed and loved but the best part, how he sounded the horn as a way of honoring my mother's death. Highly recommend this cruise...from the crew to our group, it was amazing. So amazing, we exchanged numbers at the end of the trip and learned a lot of interesting things from our group. Such an amazing experience. The Captain and staff were/are beyond amazing. Kudos to everyone from ticket counter to the Captain, first ship mate and bartender, you all were fascinating and made our experience o e to never forget. They also provided drinks and snacks on board which was included in our ticket price but stronger drinks were available for a small fee as well as other snacks not part of the meal they served. If cold, covers were available to enjoy the view from top or front of the boat. Overall, my heart is amazed/happy with how well we were taken care of, the education of Emerald Bay and the honoring of my mother!

Fabulous trip to emerald bay with friends! Captain Mike is so informative and funny! Very there early to get a great seat! But honestly anywhere you sit is great! David and Patrick the deck hands were amazing!

Was a very informative tour. The Boat was stellar, and my 6yo had a blast checking out every vantage point. Highly recommend to newcomers at Lake Tahoe

My husband and I have done 2 cruises with the Safari Rose and absolutely loved it each time. Relaxing and breaktakig views. Just an all around good time. 👍

This is an amazing tour. The captain and crew were very accommodating. The vessel is well kept. The lunch was very tasty and plenty of it. And then of course Emerald Bay did not disappoint us. I would recommend this tour to anyone! I can't wait to bring my sister out on it in the future.

Good easy going ride. Staff is great, captain is very informative about history and sights around the lake. Very fair priced for the experience.

Though our specific cruise had issues with a few passengers, the customer service recieved afterwards earned my 5 star rating.

I went on the Emerald Bay cruise and it was so much fun! The scenery is gorgeous and the crew are all really friendly. I went by myself because I was on a mini vacation alone and it was really fun to sit down on the top deck, drink a mimosa, and watch the water and landscape. The commentary by the captain was the cherry on top. Just make sure to wear your sunscreen!

to sum it up, FANTASTIC, the cruise is relaxing and informative but the highlight is converging on Emerald Bay with it's amazing scenery. The crew is very friendly and the Captain shares a lot about the History and facts about the Lake. If you are looking for a nice way to see the area from the Lake Safari Rose is a great Company.

The crew were all very friendly and had a lot of good information about the lake, Emerald Bay and the history of the area. We tried the adult hot chocolate and coffee options and loved them all. Great way to stay warm if you take this trip in the spring like we did. Got a lot of great photos and meet some fellow travlers.

Took 13 family members on this cruise, had a fantastic time, crew eas enthusiastic and accommodating and made the outing a pleasure. Highly recommend if you enjoy great views of the mountains and the crystal clear lake.

This was well worth the time and money! We had a great view and the water was beautiful! The lunch was wonderful and there was plenty for everyone. The crew were very friendly and personable. We did this as part of our family reunion with 25 people. The crew were so nice and let us stay on the boat as everyone else disembarked, and then they took a few group photos for us on the front of the boat and from the dock.

Outstanding cruise! We loved this cruise so much! The boat is very nice with comfortable spaces inside and out. They had cozy, clean blankets to wrap around you when the weather is chilly and free unlimited coffee that was actually good. The lunch was EXCELLENT and plentiful. On the day we traveled, they had barbeque pork sliders, delicious fancy chicken salad, croissants, beautiful fresh fruit, grilled vegetables prepared perfectly/not overly seasoned, rice pilaf and brownies for dessert. We did not expect the quality of food we received. It was served in a sanitary manner that also exceeded our expectations. (We are admitted germaphobes and we enjoyed the food without a moment's hesitation). All that on beautiful Lake Tahoe would make this cruise worth your time and money but when you throw in the fun and personable crew, this cruise definitely becomes a "DO NOT MISS" experience while in Lake Tahoe. All the crew members were knowledgeable, professional, funny and attentive to the passengers. They were available for questions and just super involved and present but not at all intrusive or overbearing. We started out disappointed that a private boat we wanted for our Lake Tahoe cruise wasn't available but we quickly became thrilled for how things worked out. There is no way it could have topped the Safari Rose. Highly recommend for all ages.

My husband and I took this cruise today. We were very impressed with the entire crew. Their service to all the passengers was first class. The scenery was beautiful and the crew shared valuable information along the way. Our meal was excellent. Thanks to everyone. Highly recommend this cruise.
