El Centro DMV

Had a really good experience. The process didn't take that long and the staff perfectly explained what I had to do!

Though there was a large crowd, I entered without an appointment, service was quick, very efficient, very professional and courteous.

I went with my mom to renew her ID, and it was quick. All the employees are so nice, although their office is kinda small.

The number calling, moved along quickly.

I always drop in without an appointment because it is difficult for me to make a dedicated time. I never have to wait more than 40 minutes mostly about 25, which is fine considering the convenience of flexibility. Always courteous and efficient service in the 19 years I have been using this office. If you want to to be served in a more timely manner, make an appointment.

Drove there from Texas to Renew My D.L. Excellent Customer Service, not busy. Very short wait (15 min) In, out done. I ended up driving right back to Texas on No Sleep. Not fun but, I got My Business done. Thank You El Centro! We all have horrible stories about visits to the DMV, not here. They run a tight ship.

In and out in less than half an hour this morning. CA get in line made this so much faster and Susana was a great deal of help. Thank you.

I don’t think my husband and I have ever had such a fast, efficient and friendly experience at a DMV and we have been to many (he’s in the military and we move a lot). Everyone was friendly and even in a time where pandemic procedures are in place, they still managed to process people quick and efficiently. We were dreading having to go to the DMV, but the workers at this location made it painless.

Came from San Diego for my son's behind the wheel test. the drive took little over an hr. from my house. Not to bad! place is smaller and older but efficient. The crew there were nice and helpful! worth the drive........

Streamlined process, in and out in less than 10mins. Employees are very accommodating and friendly. They dont look stressed and pressured. Very positive experience!!

DMV was great. I know, doesn't seem right, but I was actually treated with kindness. They had the Covid situation well planned and executed. I went in for a Real ID, handicap plates and to remove the bank from my pink skip. All three things were done in 90 minutes. They even lent me a screw driver to remove my plates and install the new ones.

I was totally surprised by the expertise and professionalism provided to me by the DMV agents. But the expedient manner in which every person who entered, was taken care of, brought a smile to my face. I can only hope that all the government agencies I must deal with are half as efficient as El Centro's DMV. Kudos to you!

It was great experience, especially when I am from Texas. Now, living in California. Everyone was so polite, made you feel like a person not just another number.

Had 9am appt the day state DMV computers were down. ALL employees were very helpful and greeted each customer with the bad news. Computers were up after 2 hours and staff got us out as fast as possible. The bad reviews I read about were not in evidence. The building is old and heavily used. I came all the way from San Diego to escape the long lines.

I had an issue with the website so I went in person to find out what happened. They were very helpful and courteous and were able to resolve the issue I was having. Great customer service!

quick easy business, helpful bilingual staff

It is so much better to come over to the El Centro DMV than it is to use the ones in San Diego. They have it together, they are nicer, shorter lines, you can get an appointment in the coming weeks instead of coming months, and you leave feeling ok about the experience. I have had so many rude experiences in the El Cajon DMV. The drive is totally worth it.

I went to the El Centro DMV to request information for a friend that was busy. Information on how to register a salvaged car and how to change the title of ownership with a lost pink slip. I gave the lady at the front desk a note describing what my friend needed to do. She gave me two forms and a sheet with instructions. I smiled and I thanked her. She smiled said "you're welcomed" and I left. The person at the front desk has to see hundreds of people a day. I guess one must be brief and to the point. Considering all things involved, I'm rating this visit 5 stars.
