Delicious Alvarez

Loved it. Stopped in because they were open after 8 and I was on a work trip. Service was great, friendly and patient. Their salsa is yummy, nice and spicy but with really good flavor. I had a taco salad with carne asada. It was delicious. The margarita was yummy too. Great little spot.

My family has noticed that our usual Mexican restaurants have gone down hill so we tried delicious Alvarez and they were fantastic we will be going back without a doubt. Food was great service was great I highly recommend them.

It's hard to explain by words but I could feel how much love was invested in that plate. Had 2 fish tacos, 1 Shrimp and 1 carne. Everything was so good including the rice. Salsa is addictive. Love these people and I love their place (+they let me dine in when I arrive 10 minutes before they close doors)

Best Mexican restaurant in Lake County, hands down. The owners, Omar and Liz, are some of the best people around as well. Food ALWAYS tastes fantastic!! We love this place.

We were looking for a good Mexican restaurant to eat at, we are from Sacramento & this place did not disappoint our plates plentiful & great tasting and reasonably priced...I would definitely recommend this place.

This is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in town. I always get their carne asada super burrito. They can be a little inconsistent, I think they have a different chef some days, but when it's the good chef it's absolutely amazing. The carne asada is seasoned to perfection, and the whole burrito is delicious.

I went here for dinner with my grandmother earlier tonight and I asked the waitress with the long braided hair (muy bonita) what her favorite was, and she suggested the mole con pollo. She has very good taste because that is now by far my favorite mexican dish. The mole is so rich and flavorful, and the chicken was tender. Her service was amazing as well, she was very genuine and patient for my grandmother. The food came out very quickly too. 10/10. My grandmother got the taco bowl lol and she loved it.

Sadly I wasn't that hungry and I basically took the whole thing home after a couple bites, but even after sitting in the fridge it was all still just amazing.

The decor is surprisingly spectacular too. The tables and chairs are all beautiful hand painted art pieces. It's hard to spot this restaurant from the street, but it's always places like this that have the best food 😁

Really delicious food. We decided to try this restaurant after reading a great review online and I am glad we did. The restaurant is small and the service is a bit slow, bit the food is yummy, plus the menu has a lot of great seafood choices. I ordered the shrimp fajitas and my mom got the shrimp burrito wet style. My mom's burrito was delicious and not dry at all, great flavor. The fajitas had awesome authentic flavor and I loved the sizzling plate they brought them out on. My only complaint is that the fajitas do not come woth beans and rice or guac and the shrimp could have been cleaned a bit better (a few of the shrimp I had to clean up myself).
The restaurant only takes cash, so be prepared.
We are looking forward to coming back.

I feel like this is a place certain white people would be afraid to go to. Food is always good. Plenty of Agua Frescas as well as good desert. It's sort of known as seafood place and for good reason. Literally never had anything bad here and service is great.

There is a ton of Mexican food in lake county, but as far as flavor goes, this place is delicious every time. . Only downside is they only take cash, so be sure to hit the ATM machine first . Defently worth it

Looove all the decor in here. Music was great too. The bacon wrapped shrimp as delicious as was the carnitas plate. If you haven't had it yet try the deep fried ice cream!

Burritos are pretty tasty even on second or third day. Love the salsa also.

I don't always give five stars but this place is probably the best I've ever been everything is great everyone that has had meals there with me loves it and is taking their spouse back I don't want my favorite place to get overcrowded but go there please I'm sure that the staff can handle the the extra business
