This church community has helped us to feel at home in Claremont. We have met so many lovely, caring, supportive people. Pastors Jen & Jacob put together such lovely services every week with fantastic sermons & beautiful music. It's a place that has made us better human beings in every way. We are so grateful for this spiritual community.

I so enjoy the sermons at this church. They are relevant, timely, practical and inspiring. They are based on parts of the Bible I haven't explored in the past. And then the prayers are written to support the sermon and message. As is the wonderful music. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. I have found a wonderful community.

I have been attending Claremont United Church of Christ for around three years now. Most people know my daughter who often has valuable input when Pastor Laurel is presenting the sermon on the stairs. (speaking to all of our Sunday school participants).

Pastor Laurel is kind and gracious as she redirects my outgoing daughter. Pastor Laurel is always ready with a smile and hug for the kids. It's evident that one of the missions of Claremont United Church of Christ is to learn everyone's names. Within two weeks of attending both Pastors Jen and Jacob addressed my family by name. Pastors Jen and Jacob are both very approachable and are dripping with empathy and compassion. The sermons are always insightful and entertaining, it's amazing to see the personalities of these two beautiful people shine through from the pulpit.

If you can imagine your safe place, a place that provides you with smiles, wisdom, and acceptance no matter what stage of life you are experiencing. That would look very similar to attending Claremont United Church of Christ. I absolutely love that our congregation prides itself on accepting everyone. Even more importantly I constantly see Claremont United Church of Christ reaching out to our community both in a spiritual and practical way.

I could go on and on about Claremont United Church of Christ. The amazing sermon series, Choir, Children's Ministry, Adult Ministry, Holiday Events. However, I think it would be best if you stopped on by. You just might see a plus sized man with a grey beard chasing around a 4-year-old dressed as Elsa. We would love to say hi to you.

Amazing church, open and affirming, welcoming to all, and has a strong focus on social justice and working for the most vulnerable among us. In addition to all of the above, it's a very active church with many activities for different age/interest groups, and offers a lot of support for its congregants. I came to this church after bad experiences with other churches my entire life, and I'm so happy I found it. Come check it out - you won't regret it!

We were looking for a new church home when we moved to Claremont and we visited a lot of churches. However, something just felt like home at Claremont UCC and the diverse community welcomed us with open arms! I especially love that they offer an ASL interpreter at each church service and focus on accessibility in all areas.

I just photographed a wedding here and this church was amazing. From the gentlemen that was more than helpful showing me around to the construction crew that made sure we knew they would stop working prior to the wedding. There were some great spots for photos with the sun behind us.. so ideal. I'm posting some photos for inspiration.. and the church doors are soooooo beautiful. ~Maria • Pink Heart Photography

Highly recommend! From Sunday church services, to kid programs and events, to social gatherings (like jam bands and trivia) to social justice … many ways to get involved and give back. Everyone welcomed ❤

Come check out Claremont UCC. We have engaging Pastors Jen and Jacob who share meaningful insights in their sermons. Our children's youth ministry is a strongly attended aspect of our church-such a delight to see their happy faces as they run off to Sunday school and return to join us for Communion. There is a variety of musical offerings each week. Come gather with us and you will want to keep returning!

I've been attending this church for several years now. It's a welcoming church inclusive of all ages, and backgrounds. The people at this church are what make it a special place to worship and that includes the pastors , staff and parishioners. There are many fellowship groups and ministries to enhance one's spiritual connection .
It's a church I call home

I spent 2.5 years at a church and worked hard to try to make connections, without luck.
But the very first Sunday I came in to Claremont United Church of Christ, I felt "at home". Every church says "welcome visitors!" but CUCC actually meant it. The second Sunday I attended, people remembered me and when they said "it's good to see you", I felt they meant it. In fact, some months later THEY invited ME to join. Usually you have to go to a church and ask to be a member. Plenty of churches say "all are welcome", at Claremont United Church of Christ, we "walk the walk". A person of the LGBT+ community isn't going to feel like they are tolerated or Other, but that they are just "one of the gang". CUCC stands for social and environmental justice just as Jesus did, and our volunteer programs offer a variety of ways to give back to the community and make a difference. "Woke" is a badge of honor. I wish I had found CUCC years earlier, but I am so glad I am here now.

I love this church so much. Open and affirming! The pastors are forward thinking and embrace all equally. The organ is to die for! And the new choir director is pretty awesome!

Here at CUCC you will find a love and life affirming congregation. It is a mainline Protestant, but very progressive, church that truly practices what it preaches — “All are welcome here.” Here, you will be welcomed with open arms and open minds.

I love that CUCC stands for radical inclusivity. As a parent it’s important that my children grow up in a church that affirms them for who they are and builds in them the confidence to stand for social justice.
It’s also a great place to meet other young families.
Worth checking out!

Our family met the church through the childcare center on the church grounds. We decided to try it out one day, and the welcome we received was oh so very warm. This is a progressive, congregational church, so there are plenty of opportunities to meet new people from all walks of life. For a family with little kids (like us), this place is perfect. We never felt out of place bringing our family there, and we made amazing friends whom we will carry with us forever. Also, Jacob and Jen bring great energy to the pulpit! They are incredible.

This church community combines the best of tradition with the idea that God is still speaking.

Inclusive, inviting, warm and loving too ALL of God’s children. Unlike many other churches I’ve visited, they don’t mistake the word of God for racist/lgbtq bias.

Open, welcoming, lovely people in congregation, preaching is relevant and affirming, children's program is innovative and fun. Lots of opportunities for social interaction with many church celebrations throughout the year. Preachers are a married couple that are interesting and so caring. If you
come once, you will want to return. It's a wonderful church.

We've come to the CUCC when our daughter and grandkids moved to Claremont. We're here on average once a month or so. Like others have shared, there is a welcoming atmosphere and the church seems to do a lot of community service and outreach. But what has impressed me the most when my wife and I have come to Sunday services is the preparation the pastors must put into their sermons. For me, it's great to hear the historical context of the Biblical passages presented in ways that a layperson can understand. Add to that, it is a beautiful church and they close with a solo from the organist on that amazing instrument.
