Came here as a party of 8 for my wife's birthday. Immediately walking through the doors you feel your leaving your current town behind and welcoming a small glimpse of another culture. Our party was seated almost immediately, the drinks they served were amazing. My daughter's had some huge margaritas, my son's in law and myself enjoyed some cold micheladas and a Elvira's Old Fashion. The food was amazing, the presentation looked delicious all on its own. Desert was delicious as well. Overall the ambient was amazing, there was mexican music playing in the background, but playing at a level that was well balanced. We absolutely loved this place. Thank you to all our servers. We will definitely return with our appetites in the near future.

Food is amazing and comes out fast!
Service is number one to none!
Friendly staff, Fresh ingredients, and amazing delicious entrées.
Atmosphere is mesmerizing. The culinary art, and the interior design, along with the outdoor atmosphere gives a totally renovated vibe to the entire neighborhood.

I didn’t even know this place existed. We were on our way from Palm Springs when I asked my wife to find us a place to eat before we went home. I’m glad she chose this place. First of all, it was Cinco de Mayo so the restaurant was decorated with all the festivities. It was very big inside and the once again the artwork, the vibe, the whole place just gave off a good feeling. We ordered our drinks and they came out fast but before I tell you about the drinks, the chips and salsa were some of the best I’ve ever had. The salsa tasted like it was homemade with just right amount of spice. Our drinks were next, a Paloma and a Cadillac margarita both made with Don Julio blanco. They were strong and got the job done. When I tell you that the food showed up hot, smelling good and looking good. The chicken flautas I ordered were fried to perfection and the toppings they used were a nice addition. We got the carne asada tostada bowl, shrimp wrap with rice and beans. Nothing disappointed. Don’t sleep on this place. You won’t be disappointed. I’ll be going back. For sure. Check out the pictures and videos and decide for yourself.

We stumbled upon this gorgeous restaurant because we were looking for a place to charge our car. The look and the vibe of the restaurant just took her breath away! From the impressive outdoor fire feature to the huge arched ceilings. We were dining in pure elegance! And the food was absolutely excellent! The movie was to die for! Flavorful and juicy!

LOVE THIS PLACE AS MUCH AS I LOVE COMPLIMENTS, A GOOD HAIR DAY AND BEING ABLE TO FIT IN MY SKINNY JEANS!!!

Last minute my husband and I, decided to take a gamble in finding a restaurant that could seat us on Valentines. Lady Luck and Cupid were bestowing their luck and love on us, that evening! We called Elvira’s and they said, there was no wait! Yippee!!! My husband drove like a lunatic (I usually just keep my eyes closed and hold on tight when he drives) to get there, before we missed the “no wait” window. It’s a rarity to not have to wait for a seat at this place. So we were pleasantly surprised when we were immediately seated!
We started off with the guacamole (made fresh at your table) and chips. It’s one of our favorites. (Life without a good guacamole, is no life at all!)
I ordered the Steak Picado, that was fabulous! It should be called; COME TO MAMA STEAK PICADO!!! My husband, Ray, chose some kind of Fajita dish (I didn’t pay much attention, I was too busy enjoying my kisses from heaven aka dinner). He really seemed pretty happy with it.
As always, the atmosphere, food and service is fabulous! (Unlike my many past step-mothers and fathers lady friends kitchens! “You’re not my mommy!”)

Elvira’s is definitely one of Claremont's MUST TRY restaurants!

There's a lot to say about Elvira's so I'll keep it to the point. The food was delicious - savory meat, rice & beans on point, and the "smoke & mirrors" mezcal did not disappoint. Yes, it is pricier than my normal outings but so worth the cost.

We had a party of 15 people to celebrate a birthday and the staff didn't miss a beat! Great service, great food and a memorable night

Elvira's Grill in California is simply amazing. Not only do they have delicious meat options, but their vegetarian offerings are out of this world. I have tried several vegetarian dishes and each one has been incredibly flavorful and satisfying. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, always making sure that I have a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends and family. I highly recommend the vegetarian tostado, it's packed with fresh ingredients and a variety of flavors.
I give Elvira's Grill a well-deserved 5 stars and can't wait to go back and try even more of their amazing food.

We love this place. This is the 2nd time I visited this restaurant. The menu is not full of items like other restaurants, that's why this restaurant's food is so good. Last time I had Chile Verde and had a new item sirloin steak, they are so good. Even my wife admitted that. I also had a margarita in the big glass and it's strong. I highly recommend this place. Take your family there and enjoy the good foods. Don't forget fresh chips and salsa.

Recommended to us by a friend. Some of the best food and drinks we have ever experienced. Fajitas were the most flavorful I have ever had, and the margaritas are not to be missed. We had a large party of 9 with a couple kids and the staff were able to keep up with all. Bravo! We are already making plans to return with more friends and family including members who live out of town

I needed a place that wasn’t loud with patrons. Found this just by luck. I’m so glad I did. Parking was a breeze, as I was lucky enough to find a spot within steps of the entry (by back lot). They had just opened, so it was empty. I was seated outside and slowly, the lunch crowd began filling up the outside patio. My server immediately tended to me. Service was amazing, and I took his suggestion on what to order based on my cravings. I ordered the Mexican tacos. I was expecting a lunch size but was surprised to see a heavy portion. Nevertheless, I ate what I could. Good amount of steak (with a perfect amount of pink) and a good amount all the other toppings. The salsa that’s served with chips was the right amount of spice—loved it, as it was addicting, even if my mouth was on fire. The pricing may be a little up on the “average” scale, but it won’t stop me from coming. I’ll just be careful in what I order. ;)

I’m happy I stumbled upon this place. When I’m in the area, I definitely will be back. Not just for the food, but for the staff. Every single person who works there was very nice and friendly. Great service.

I really liked this restaurant and had a great experience.
We went there on Friday night and only waited like 20 minutes to be seated.
We got the inside sitting which we preferred and soon after we stepped in, I got amazed by all the decorations.
There are bunch of paintings and other decorative items that really gives an ambiance of South American restaurant.
The high roof and the color of the walls will add up to it as well.
The food was great and the amount of waiting time was reasonable.
They made the guacamole in front of us ( it was an appetizer) which was fun to watch and the Sizzling fajitas was giving us joy.
You have to try their lemon margaritas on rocks to get the full experience.
Enjoyed the place, will recommend and will be back again, hopefully soon 😀

Came here with some visiting family members, first impression the decor was beautiful and inviting with a wonderful outdoor dining area. The food was fresh and delicious, I had the surf and turf. The steak was seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly, it came with 3 plump shrimp served on a bed of grilled vegetables all paired wonderfully. The service was on point with chips and salsa never running low or drinks going dry. Thanks to our server Mimi that made this evening so special for me and my family we couldn't have asked for a better time or experience. I say try Elviras out I don't think you will be disappointed at all.

We caught up with friends here for our last few days in LA. The Food, Ambience, and Service were amazing. The guacamole with corn chips and sizzling steak fajitas were delicious. We asked our Waitress for recommendations on meals for us to get which really helped as we have never been here before. We would definitely come back again. Highly recommended.

For starters, chips are made in-house and fresh (love that). The salsa is mild but flavorful which is also made in-house.

We had a Combo #7, spinach Enchilada plate and a tostada.

How many times have you gone to a Mexican restaurant, tasted their rice and it tastes like Uncle Ben’s microwave rice? This place, their rice tastes authentic and moist.

Excellent vegetarian / vegan options. Great flavors.

This is our new replacement for Alcapulco. Sadly they closed down.

We’ll be back!

Atmosphere is wonderful. We love sitting on the patio next to the tequilla bottle tree at night. Food is delicious!! Takes awhile to get to your table, but worth wait and gives you time to enjoy your cocktail, or/and your fresh chips and salsa. The deep fried ice cream is a must try!!!

Outside dining is so beautiful. A first time experience in the evening. Our server Tiers was awesome and the food was delicious. The carnitas are a must try on Friday, Saturday and Sundays only. The margaritas are a little expensive but enjoyable. We will be back.
