El Ranchero Mexican Food & Margaritas

It is a nice Mexican restaurant, located on Foothill Boulevard, across the street from Stater Bros. I have been here several times. The meals, that I have ordered, were delicious and well-made. Furthermore, the staff working here were helpful, polite, and attentive. During my visits, there was ample of space, to sit down, and enjoy my meals. Of course, with ordering Margaritas, this restaurant could get pricey. Nevertheless, meals were price fairly. Therefore, if anyone is in Claremont/Pomona bordering area, I would recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Food was good ! The mole enchiladas were very tasty 🤤 rice and beans 🫘 on point . The server was fabulous. Very attentive. I would come back if I’m in the area ! This restaurant was a recommendation from someone on Pomona Facebook group !

Great tasting food and drinks! Service was fast and the outdoor patio seating was nice, with comfortable chairs. For drinks, we had tamarindo and strawberry margaritas and for entrees we had mole enchiladas and potato tacos. Will definitely be going back.

This place was awesome! The guy even refilled our drinks one time for free! We didn't even need to order food because the margaritas were just that amazing! They also give you two dipping sauces and they both are pretty good. The green one is a little lime flavoured and I'm not sure what's in it but it's to die for!! I tried all of the margaritas and they all are good but the mango is the best one. The prices were pretty good on the drinks too.

The food is amazing, great service. The outside patio is a plus.

Host was very polite over the phone and in person. Love the hibiscus flowers on the outside and cozy outdoor and indoor seating. Some of the reviews worried us but our sever was polite and attentive. The food was tasty and the portions huge. We’ll be back. Thank for making our family night out a good one.

I love this restaurant! I have been going here for years, and have always enjoyed it. Happy hour, dinner, lunch, or a banquet. The staff are all personable, and they welcome you as old friends. There are many options to choose from on the menu and they have all been good. I recommend having a margarita. Tasty and relatively inexpensive. I remember the days of 99 cent margaritas for happy hour, but inflation so they are still good, just cost a bit more. Maybe that's more an indication of how long I have been enjoying this restaurant.

Went to lunch with my wife and daughter. My wife and I had the Mole Chicken Enchiladas and my daughter had the Fried Potato 🌮 Tacos. Both were excellent 😋 choices.

Have been coming here with my family ever since we moved here back in 2000. So, it seems fitting to finally give this place a review. Great food, complimentary chips and salsa, and $2.00 margaritas!! The staff is also helpful too. If you’re looking for a great place to take family or friends to, look no further.

Food was good. Been many many times. But, disappointed in the shredded beef. Very tough, like it had been overcooked.

Love this restaurant as the staff is always so friendly and go over and above to make you welcomed and comfortable. My friend and I had just arrived after a 100 mile outing and we were a little tired. We were gifted with an order of guacamole as a compliment of the house. Our meal was wonderful as always and we shared it as the orders are so big. I try to make it here as often as I can usually bringing out of town friends. The low rating for atmosphere was for being seated in a booth in the bar area and a large Rowdy group very close to us that did not allow us to even visit because we would have been yelling at each other. Lessons Learned, Do not sit in the bar area if you want a quieter meal experience.

We could not believe how fast we got our food! I had the Cheese enchiladas and Shredded beef hard Taco rice and beans. I could only eat about half of my food. Big portions Fast and polite service tasty food. I would definitely come back again.

Got the mole enchiladas for lunch. They had chips (and not a paltry amount) and a red and green salsa. Excellent portions, nice balance of sauce and meat. The mole was quite wonderful, well balanced, and with sufficient spice. Didn't have the gritty texture that some mole have. The music set a nice ambience but wasn't too loud. Good service too.

The staff is always very friendly. Food is hot when served. Has a nice authentic taste.

I have been coming here for 18 years, food is always on point, drinks are amazing and the hospitality is beyond words! Great staff! Prices are reasonable as well.

My favorite salsa in the world is HERE! Green tomatillo! OMG!!! I could drink it!!! This place has solid, always, always delish authentic Mexican recipes that have stayed consistent for the... Ok ok...50 YEARS (back to the 1st location days). And the margaritas are Devine!
You'll leave full and happy!!!
