I work right above Gold Leaf so I know it well. The staff is nice and the teas are fantastic. There is ample seating along the beautiful stone bar. It's definitely a place to check out for tea. My favorite is iced red rooibos.

This place is just awesome. Large selection of teas, with a nice descriptive menu to help you find tons of gems. The tea-risitas 😂 are great, friendly, and help suggest nice drinks based on a few simple questions. The shop wall is filled with storage containers giving it legit bar vibes.

A few tables nearby to work if you’re not a bar person, but the stools and main area are nice enough to make time fly while sipping. If you need a switch up from coffee, give this place a try.

The teas here are always good. This is Princess Peach, flavor is not strong more of a light fruity taste but really good with 7 pumps of honey if you want it sweet but not overly sweet 😋

Service is so helpful and knowledgeable, and excited about what's in store. So relaxing to sit and read or work. Probably my favorite place in the salinas valley. So glad to see it getting the visitation it deserves! Crazy it's been around for over a decade, and somehow keeps a low profile. Absolutely adore this place.

Love this place. Great vibe. Nice and quiet but not like a library or anything. Space to work in the back and gorgeous front window bar seating.
Tons of loose leaf teas available and big menu explaining all the sourcing of teas and about them — and an actual menu of blended drinks you can pick from. And open to any customizations.
I wish they were open longer hours, this would be phenomenal weekend nights.

the absolute best most thoughtful & inventive tea menu i’ve ever seen ! the staff is so passionate & knowledgeable about their teas - they even offered to blend a custom drink for me since i was between two different flavors. such a sweet place, wish they were open in the evenings at least on the weekends, would be such a cozy place to read a book or study!

Really strong and flavorful turmeric latte! Just a note that the default seems to be cold, so consider mentioning in advance if you want it cold or hot.

I've been coming to Gold Leaf Spice & Teas for years and I feel that they have more than earned a review. I come here at least 1 or 2 times a week not only due to the fact that they make the best tea out of any place I've ever been to but because I have not once had a bad experience with the staff out of the at least 100 times I've stopped by. It's the consistency in tea taste and friendliness of the staff that keeps me coming back. I have and will continue to recommend this place to anyone who has the desire to find a great tea spot, just be warned: you won't want to go anywhere else after trying a few teas here.

I decided to try some new tea and went to Gold Leaf with a friend. It was awesome, both service and atmosphere. I highly recommend the matcha!

They have a lot of different teas here and they can brew it for you or you can buy it dry too. The flavor is really nice and the employees are very friendly too. I look forward to coming back here when I'm in Salinas again.

It was my first time to this place. Immediately the feeling I got once I entered was welcomed. I came in on a rainy day so the atmosphere was something I had only seen in those movies. I'm sure you know which movies I mean, kinda like romance or such. The hospitality was amazing and watching the baristas work was part of the experience for me, watching them make these tea creations. The decor and music was easy on my senses, and the smells were heaven. I can't wait to go back.

If you're a tea lover and are looking for a place that really understands tea--and has an enormous collection of teas--you must check out Gold Leaf. Also the servers really know their stuff about all the teas available.

Today was my first time stopping by. I've followed them on Facebook for a while now and I finally had the chance to stop by and so happy tht I did! I was very impressed with the selections they have, very friendly and helpful with my tea choice. Very excited that they offer turmeric shots also. Prices are reasonable

Went with my daughter. Lovely retreat from the outside world. The staff is knowledgeable and fun. The teas we chose were over ice and yummy. Sampled various vinegars, bought tea, vinegar and Bacon olive oil. Will be returning soon!

Wonderful customer service everytime. If you like tea, you just found heaven. Wide array of herbs and spices as well as olive oils and specialty vinegars. Definitely one of my favorite local businesses.

Great spot if you love tea. Their selection is awsome. The menu explains what each tea is for and what it helps do, like if you have a cold ect. It was so good!

The tea here is high quality, authentic and the baristas know their stuff. They'll even craft you a custom blend, just ask! Definitely a staple in Downton/ great place for a little culture

This tea bar is a great place to come and relax with a cup of iced or hot tea. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the teas. While not very spacious, it is an excellent place to come with a friend to have a relaxed conversation.
