Chinese New Year stuff is fully stocked with red envelopes, sweets, fruit and cookie gift boxes, and decorations. You won’t find Taiwanese squash (aka loofah squash or okra or si gua 絲瓜) at a Ralph’s, Trader Joe’s, or Whole Foods! I found them here at 99 Ranch because they’re in season (winter). They were well wrapped, not bruised. Also, what kind of Calpico do you want? All the Calpicos? Done. (Strawberry, Mango, Original, Melon, and Lychee Calpicos) The meat and butcher section has so much variety. The traditional cuts are available, but there’s also duck and rabbit.

A very well-stocked Chinese supermarket with a ton of products for a one stop store, but great only if you shop carefully for the sales and lower-priced items. For example the Chinese vegetables are usually great quality for the price.
For example today, a dozen eggs for $1.49 and 6 for $1 green onions excellent!
But 100 average-quality, Japanese green tea bags for $26.99 horrible!
Get the store points card for extra savings.

I usually go here to buy fish, they have good verity of seafood, reasonable prices and good service, fruits and vegetables are also fresh. Conveniently located, in this shopping center parking is little challenge especially on weekends, but you will always find it. Best time to go is in the morning when not too many people are shopping.

We bought a 50lb rice when it was on sale! We love it when items are on sale. Be sure to get a reward card so you can use it when it's time to redeem!

Great place for steamed lobsters! $7.99 a lb, the best most tender ones are 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 lbs. it takes about 15-20 minutes to steam them. Best to buy them up to 3 hours ahead to let them rest at room temperature. Don’t put them in the fridge if your going to eat them in a few hours.

Really good experience. The roasted duck is so tasty (I ordered half duck)! And the staff who helped me with the duck was really friendly and helpful

We often buy fish and fry it here, then take it and eat it at home. Also many kitchen ingredients and Asian food ingredients are sold here. There is mutton, rabbit meat and others. There is also a bakery inside, and ready-to-eat food for sale

You can easily find food even if you don't read Chinese because someone who is really good at classifying each food.

I love going 99 ranch market. I like irvine ones because it's clean and doesn't smells.

Convenient location on Culver off the 79 bus, it has bike racks, it is clean, and there are so many options inside.

Sometimes they will have strange snacks on their counter, make sure to grab it while it lasts because most of the time they will not restock those exotic items
After they renovate the fresh section, it's very clean and pleasure to shop, even though aome aisles might need more lighting

Well stocked Asian (more Chinese variety than Korean or Vietnamese) with reasonable prices on most goods. Fresh seafood selection is one of the largest in this area, with H Mart down the road comes very close. Otherwise this should be on your top 5 list for grocery if you live around Culver Drive in Irvine.

Love 99 Ranch. Such a great variety of foods. I especially love their green teas and their bakery. All the breads and cakes are so light and airy. Absolutely the best! Yummy yummy yummy

Great shopping place for Chinese groceries!

I forgot how much I love this place. Our 18th wedding anniversary was last Friday and we had planned to purchase some 'Live Maine Lobsters' from a local market and have a Lobster boil dinner to celebrate. We do this because you can't get Maine lobster in most local restaurants and when you do, they charge you 3-4 times the price that you'd pay at the local market. We don't mind splurging for sure but we just can't accept being taken advantage of. I'll tell you how.
I called around to local markets and inquired about Lobsters. The first place wanted $30 per lb., last place I called which happened to be 99 Ranch Market after seeing their online flyer, blew my mind. They said they had a special going for small ones (one to one and a half pounds) for, believe it or not, $6.99 a lb.
I knew immediately we were taking a short 30 minute drive to the market that evening.

99 has everything Asian and plenty of everything else. There are so many exotic fruits and vegetables along with cuts of meat that represent many cultures. If you want fresh fish this is the place to go to. They have frozen foods from all over the world. Amazing! I mean this market has it all. Plus it was clean and organized and the prices or less than the large grocery chain stores.

Again I forgot how much I loved this market. We're already planning our next trip and it's on the calendar.
Do yourself a favor and go check out 99 Ranch Market. You won't regret it. BTW- we devoured the Lobsters 🦞. Even made lobster rolls the next day with the left overs. 😋

LOVE this place! From time to time there are some really great discounts! Like today, 2.99/lb cherries the size of golfballs!

This is the go to store for everything Asian. We stop here every time we’re in the area to restock and occasionally try something new. This time we bought fresh live Dungeness crab. We had them steam the crab and it was delicious when we got it home. Manila clams and so much more…

Great selection. This particular branch is also very clean. The inside of this 99 Ranch is new and renovated. My sister joked that it's like a Whole Foods. Fresh produce at reasonable prices and a great place to get seasonal Chinese foods, like for Chinese new year or the moon festival.

The store has been upgraded. It is so clean and pleasant to go shopping here. They specialize in Southeast Asian grocery items, with other products from other parts of the world, too. If you are used to places like Vons or Safeway, you will find the shopping here entirely different! Even the housewares are unique and fascinating. It's a large, easy to navigate space with several kiosks inside including a hot food bar, a bakery, and a travel agency.
