The New Port Theater

Wow, wow, wow!!! We had our company holiday party at the Port Theater last night, and I can't say enough good things! Celina was amazing to work with and the staff helping during our party were friendly and courteous. The food was delicious, the dj was fun, and the venue was just overall fantastic. Being able to have our "name in lights" on the marquis out front, put up movie posters, and use all of the screens for special videos and images meant that we could really customize our party and make it feel special for our team. Thank you so much for helping make the evening so enjoyable and memorable!

Wonderfully renovated historic theater in Corona del Mar! Fantastic venue with a super groovy vibe with comfy reclining chairs and couches. Come hungry because there is a wonderful bistro and full bar on site. Highly recommend the charcuterie platter!

So cool. Feels like an old movie house of the 50s… or the 90s before everywhere upgraded to stadium seating. This place has fun themed drinks matching the movie (Top Gun had the Gin & Goose? Or was it the Gray Goose Martini? That last one isn’t original but this name was so I’m at a loss) and solid snacks. It feels like it doesn’t fit with the modern, “best of the best” of Newport, and that is exactly why I love it.

Historic Port Theater on #PCH in Corona Del Mar, California. Originally opened in 1949. this landmark independent theater was closed in 1998 and reopened in 2012 as The New Port Theater, complete with luxury seating & wine bar. Terrific place to see a film.

We had an amazing experience at the Port Theatre with a recently held screening event. The theatre itself is beautiful and the staff was so helpful and supportive during the planning process. They helped make everything go seamlessly. Overall, an amazing experience for both our staff and our guests!

Loved this place so freaking much. Cannot wait to come back. I speak for all 4 of us in our party. The theater itself, easy parking, food&drink quality, and most of all their customer service was all absolutely impeccable. A sweet lady with blonde hair helped me mostly who made all of our night... even better. I'll stop there. I can go on and on. I wish I knew her name... I'm sure I'll find out someway or at least someday soon... since I will be there next chance i get!

I love when I get to see a movie at The Port. It‘s my very favorite place to see a movie! So clean, the employees are so sweet and the seats are the kind you sink into and homelike!!! They only have one movie showing at a time bc of one screen, which is the only downfall for me bc it isn’t always showing the one I want. Needless to say, I saw Maverick 9 times and 7 times it was at The Port bc luckily for me they had it showing for the longest time. Please don’t ever shut your doors. I would be so sad!!✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

this place is fantastic. great seats and couches. amazing service. if you drink they have a variety of liquor, craft beer and wine. and unlimited popcorn with purchase of one popcorn. best and most comfortable theater experience ever... the lobby area is amazing.

Great seats, very comfortable. Food is good, but I hope they will get more salad and green options into their menu. They change the movies every week or every other week. One movie for a whole week.
They serve all sorts of alcohol. Great cocktails.

Most definitely the best place in town to watch a movie out!! Everything from the staff (Nick goes out of his way to make sure you're set!) to the great (and clean!) restrooms and cushy leather recliner seats are the ultimate way to have a fun movie night out with your man. The food (as well as the service) is ten times better here than at the Island. The Chef is constantly making fresh pizzas from scratch, as well as great little appetizers that are perfect for movie watching! And, bonus!--all for less than the cost at the "other" theatre down the street! Thank you Port for opening and giving us a chance at movie watching that is cool, eclectic and non "industrialized"!!

What a fantastic place to see a movie! Great food and drink...really, it's better than any other theater anywhere...wonderful seats and it's small enough to be intimate.

I hadn't been to a movie in 8 years because I don't much like crowds. I had to see Star Wars and went to the Port. I was so very comfortable in the leather recliner with my side table and bowl of popcorn. Didn't have to try and squeeze my arms in, never had to tuck my feet. The screen was just the right size and the sound was excellent. Now, I will never go to another theater. I just wish they would post what's playing the following week.

BEE-U-TOO-FULL! I loved this theatre! I wish that I knew that they had food AND cocktails! I would have drank and snacked there, instead of dinner!

I love how they leave your name on the comfy leather couches! Beautiful bathrooms too!

the tickets are reasonably priced, feels spacious/luxurious and the drinks and food are also reasonable. Imagine a restaurant with a movie theater in the back. It feels like a spacious lounge living room just like home. Perfect for date night 😊

The ultimate theatre experience. Tables for your mega-bowl of popcorn, wine, or beverage of choice. Overstuffed comfortable seats. Priced below two other theaters in the area, but with all of the amenities. Seating and parking are limited.
