Dr Richard Lee gave me my life back after he performed the back surgery on my lumbar region recently.
I went from not able to walk for weeks to walking out of the hospital after surgery on my feet.
He has amazing surgical skills and confidence that earned his 5 star review.
I don’t take walking for granted anymore! Dr Lee is a true miracle worker. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Lee is a great surgeon who has worked with me very professionally on three of my five back surgeries, each leading to fusions. My fourth was performed by another doctor who ignored various symptoms that called for a fifth. Through an MRI ordered by another doctor and seeing the results of an electromyography I immediately returned to Dr. Lee. At this point, I am two weeks and 1 day out of surgery and healing and moving very well.

I am another one of Dr Richard Lee's success stories. I recently had a most complicated spine surgery. Dr Lee explained the situation, the procedure, the complications and the anticipated outcome. He was there for me, every step of the way. He is kind, he listens. He answers honestly. I was amazed to hear hospital staff calling him the superstar of complex surgeries and that HE is the one they would chose if they had spine issues. My outcome is better than expected and that is largely due to his skills, experience, and training. His training alone is impressive!!! Dr Lee has helped put me on a path for a quality of life I thought was out of reach.

I was so afraid of having surgery on my neck due to bone spurs pushing in on a nerve. This caused me to have increadiin numbness in my right arm and hand and so much pain! Dr Lee confidence in his discussion with me and his honesty about my chances of full recover was a great help to me. I felt like I was in very good hands with Dr. Lee. From The Day of the surgery until today, I'm still recovering, I've had so much support from him and his team. My surgery was a complete success and for that I'm so grateful to God and the skills of Dr. Richard Lee and his incredible staff.

I had my spine operation Aug. 28, 2017 & am very happy with the outcome. Dr. Lee is an excellent doctor, very caring & always concern about my questions. Have never had a doctor stay so in touch with his patient. The surgery was very successful. Today is my 2nd week & am walking without a walker, just need my support belt for now. So happy with Dr. Richard Lee.

This surgeon is fantastic! Dr. Lee and his team performed a very complicated surgery on my daughter, who had a severe back deformity. The results are remarkable!! We truly feel blessed to have found a surgeon who was willing and able to correct my daughter’s massive back curvature. I would highly recommend Dr. Lee.

Dr. Lee was a very straight forward technician focused on providing the highest quality surgery experience, and he provided that for me. He is not a big talker, and because of that may be mis-interpreted as cold Or in-caring, which is simply not true. A had fusion surgery of C4 through C7 and the success was remarkable. My advice in working with Dr. Lee is to be organized with your questions, and be ready to hear the un-sugar coated truth. I found his style comforting as his directness helped me think clearly and make good decisions.

Dr. Lee is a miracle worker. It's been 2 1/2 years since my very successful spinal fusion surgery, and I have had zero pain. I went from a 8 or 9 out of 10 pain level before my surgery to no pain at all. I highly recommend Dr. Lee!

I had a Lumbar Discectomy in the L-4 and L-5 disc. It's been 2 weeks after surgery and no more pain down my right leg. I can't BLT (Bend, Lift, or Twist) for another 8 weeks and then I should be back to 100%. Dr. Lee seems to be very knowledgeable and explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. He is very straight forward and I appreciate him for helping me.

After surviving cancer in 2013; however, a fist size tumor completely destroyed my L2 veterbrae and I had reconstructive spine surgery with a titanium support holding my spine together. After years of physical therapy, I was able to return to playing tennis but being somewhat competitive, I played too hard and ended up breaking a main rod causing my support to collapse and fracturing many of my fused vertebraes. Dr. Richard Lee of Newport Orthopedic Institute was highly recommended by one of my tennis friends as he was known for doing complex spine surgery. He performed emergency surgery and replaced the broken hardware and rebuilt a beautiful looking tower (9 vertebrae high). I don't think there are many surgeon's who could performed such a surgery that took 10 hours. I highly recommend Dr. Richard Lee!

Dr. Lee is an excellent physician and surgeon. He diagnosed my problem quickly and unequivocally, suggested the best course of treatment, and we scheduled surgery immediately. Although cervical surgery has its inherent issues - swallowing, and weeks in a neck brace in particular - compared to others i spoke with, my healing has been extraordinarily quick and pain free. I'am two weeks now from the surgery, the surgery site is closed and healing nicely . The only pain meds i took is tylenol and flexeril for about 5-6 days, and that was it. I am grateful to Dr. Lee and his team for a great result.

Dr Lee and the entire staff are awesome. Dr Lee is detailed of what to expect during and after surgery. The day of surgery the entire staff was very good as well. I recovered rather quick and would highly recommend Dr. Lee

Dr. Richard Lee and entire process from check in to check out was everything I hoped for and more. All staff was professional, friendly, and caring. I had degenerative vertebrates c5,c6,c7 and Dr Richard Lee fix me up. No problems. Had no pain after the surgery the scar was minimal. The results are excellent. Do not go around living with your pain go and see Dr Lee. He don't talk much he's to the point but that's what you need.

The doctor and his team showed care and concern throughout the process both pre and post op. The app follow up program to answer any and all questions was top notch and a nice surprise!

Highly recommend Newport Orthopedic and have nothing but good things to say about the care I received from Dr. Charlu and Dr. Lee. After determining that my injury required surgery as soon as possible the staff was excellent at helping get everything ready (insurance, pre-op labs, etx.). After surgery they had me check-in online every day and were very responsive with any questions or concerns.

Dr Lee performed a miracle on my lower back almost 9 mos.ago.Since the day of surgery I have not experienced the terrible sciatic painI have had for over a year. My recovery has been flawless as well. Thankyou

Dr Lee and staff are great. They are very professional and knowledgeable,. I found that they spent time explaining the process and procedures very thoroughly. I highly recommend them.

Beyond his technical expertise which is unquestionable, Dr. Lee has always treated me with respect and kindness. He is never condescending but is willing to take all the time necessary to explain conditions and procedures to my full understanding.

I would give Dr. Lee five stars. He has operated on me a couple of times with great results. His manner is calming and reassuring.
