Dr. Dunphy handled my shoulder surgery. He was very transparent with options I had in terms of care and realistic with the outcomes I would expect. I was able to make a decision on what level of surgery I wanted to go with. I ended up having a SLAP tear and rotator cuff tear repaired.

He was also accommodating with the timing I had to fit my surgery in before the end of the year. Also with the time I of day I wanted to have my procedure done.

I would absolutely recommend Dr, Dunphy for you orthopedic needs.

Consulted and ultimately got my meniscus repaired by Dr Dunphy. All of his staff- at both the Irvine and Newport locations and the surgery center were awesome. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The daily check ins after your procedure were extremely helpful & informative and provides you the opportunity to address any new issues/concerns.

Dr Dunphy is THE BEST orthopedic surgeon! He was my second opinion for elbow surgery (ORIF with plate and screws😖) and after meeting with him and discussing the options, it was a no brainer to go with him! He is caring, thorough and extremely knowledgeable with a great bedside manner. He called to personally check on me several times! If you plan on having this type of surgery be sure and do exactly as he says. Get the block! I didn't because I was scared and it was a huge mistake. Could not get behind my pain. Also, start physical therapy as soon as he gives you the orders. I waited a little bit and ended up with my arm stuck at a 45 degree angle. But with some work and time I was able to get it back to 100% in a few weeks! Im now seeing him for shoulder issues and will never go to another surgeon for my ortho issues!!

Dr. Taylor Dunphy did my 2nd surgery on my right knee for issues related to a chiropractor drop tabling my knee without my permission, when I went in for a back adjustment only. I had gotten my first knee surgery with another surgeon that did not do a great job, so I had a second consultation and chose Dr. Dunphy. He is so compasssionate and caring and explains everything so clearly to you. He is the best, and everything that caused my pain and swelling in my right knee, has been corrected by Dr. Dunphy. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. He is awesone !

Dr Dumphy is an excellent caring orthopedic surgeon. His professionalism is above and beyond as well as his bed side manners. I can not tell you how pleased I have been with my meniscus surgery as well as all the follow ups from the team to him. Always available, calls back everytime just excellent all the way!

Dr Dunphy is skilled, attentive and down to earth, able to take a no nonsense overview of all factors. Very professional. I had a large lipoma in my deltoid muscle accompanied by a torn rotator cuff, torn bicep tendon, a bone spur and rheumatoid artifacts (hope I got all that jargon correct). Surgery was scheduled in a timely manner and my recovery has gone very smoothly. Looks like any scarring will barely show. I'm a "veteran" of 8 surgeries and this went smoother than any other, even with the multiple factors.
