Newport Orthopedic Institute: Dave R. Shukla, MD

Dr. Shukla did my reverse shoulder replacement, and did an excellent job. He also provided great follow-up care. Unfortunately, he is no longer at the Newport Orthopedic Institute. No explanation was given, and I was asked to choose a new orthopedist. I would like to know where he has gone. Miss you, Dr. Shukla!

Dr. Scukla preformed a reverse shoulder replacement after three earlier shoulder surgeries failed. The entire process was flawless and two weeks into recovery, things are good. Still an additional six weeks of guarded recovery and additional physical therapy are ahead. The people I have spoken to, indicate that after 6-12 months, you won't even remember that you ever even had the procedure. The entire process has been excellent, from the initial visits, to in house education to testing, not a thing was overlooked and I am please with the outcome to date.

Dr. Shukla repaired my overused elbow. His bedside manner and genuine concern for my well being led me to write this review. After the surgery, he called me at home multiple days to check-in and educate me on my progress and what to expect next. Wish I could give him more stars!

Doctor Shukla is one of the best doctors I've ever had. He is kind and informative, and he communicated with me very well from the decision to have my surgery through recovery.

With full confidence I have had my second surgery with Dr. Shukla. He is well educated, enthusiastic, personable. I feel so lucky to have had him for these procedures.

2 thumbs up for Dr.Shukla..👍👍...1 shoulder and 2 elbows repaired...everything works great ,pain free and strong....Hes the MAN.....
