Great spot on Balboa Island to stop in for lunch, dinner, or drinks at the bar. The food is very tasty, our go-to has been the Village Burger, Chicken Sandwich and Crispy Calamari.
I have a love for French fries, and they are particularly delicious and crispy here.

I came here on my birthday after a whale watching cruise, we took a ferry to balboa island and walked just to eat here. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you!

This food is far from spectacular. So flavorful and amazing. The staff is the best the closest to to the best hospitality. The staff makes sure your taking care of. These drinks are totally amazing the moment I got half way into my glass and suddenly I couldn’t feel my toes. That moment I knew I was going to enjoy this place. The patio is stiunning and beautiful. The environment is so calm you could literally enjoy your best life right here if you could. Def coming back to enjoy more food their nachos, jalapeño poppers to the blackened salmon, fish and chips and also the prime rib so delicious my stomach is screaming out to come back and have some great food. I went here with some girlfriends for a fun lunch and loved my order! It was on the pricier side for sure! I was torn between a wedge salad and a two stack Turkey sandwich! I ended up getting the sandwich and it was delicious (like beyond incredible!!) The staff was friendly and the wait time wasn’t too bad!

Such a fun place. Bartenders and staff were friendly , the regulars that attend were welcoming and approachable. The perfect “hometown bar”

Lovely place had food twice. This was our last supper before heading back to the UK after the best two weeks

Superb place to eat. The food was fantastic and the server was excellent. Free refills on soft drinks and water given with the beer was a good touch. Would highly recommend if you are on Balboa Island.

Years of visiting Balboa Island and my family and I always find ourselves coming back to The Village Inn. A fun atmosphere and special nights for trivia and bingo really set this place apart. It really brings out the community aspect of Balboa. The food has never disappointed me, from salads to fried chicken sandwiches. Make sure you order a cookie skillet to satisfy those sweet cravings before you go.

This place is an institution. food is good service is great it's our main place to enjoy after our walks on the Island. Great mix of locals and tourists.

We enjoyed a nice lunch on the patio. Service was great. The hostess Megan made sure our beverages and food were good.

Got the gourmet burger and it slapped. I ordered it medium rare and it came super juicy. The hot chicken sandwich was also a group favorite. We were a group of 10 including a baby and we were seated right away on a Tuesday night. Food came less than 30 mins after ordering. My wife got the Tuscan chicken and it was also fire. Expect to pay between $20-$40 a person.

The food was surprisingly delicious with a really great quality.
We’ve got ceviche and a hummus (which goes with veggies — healthy way). That was amazing!
Both meals are great - ceviche is just the right mix of everything! The portions are big enough to share! Absolutely loved it ❤

I have only stopped in here like 8 times in a year, but everytime I come in they remember me. Maya is always a smiling face that can turn even your worst days around!

The dining area could use a little sprucing-up/greenery though. 🤷🏼‍♂ Sometimes it just feels..."cold / sterile".

great food and a great big bar. Good for local music on most Thursday Friday or Saturday nights. Fun spot to meet up with friends. Newly remodeled inside with group table seating. Food is amazing. Its on the moderate price level and worth every penny. Can get crowded and slow service but its always worth waiting and being patient for the great food. Try the calamari, wings and short rib are my fave. The make a mean wedge salad too.

This place was amazing!!! Parking was easy and the staff was the best and most friendly I have had in a very long time! The drinks were so good and the food was mouthwatering!! We ordered the fish and chips and the blackened salmon sandwich. It was delicious!!! I meant to take pictures but I was so hungry I forgot! If you’re near this place definitely check it out!!!

Meet friends and have a drink and a burger. It's a busy place, but has plenty of seating, so share the tables with others coming in. If it's nice outside, sit on the patio.

Excellent food, Billie our server was amazing, always on point making sure everyone in our party was taken care of. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone considering dining here.

Locals Favorite and Great place for dinner and drinks. Balboa Island was packed for boat parade and we had a large group but the food and drinks were fast to the table and correct. We all had a lot of fun and will be back soon.
