You should visit this gallery simply for the beautiful pieces. Great place for small and grand gifts.

The store has a wide variety of wood works from various artists. These are just amazing quality work that's different from your common wood carving store. The person I spoke to was nice and entertained tourist questions.

I didn't check the price so you'd have to visit for yourself.

Beautiful craftsmanship across the items in the shop. I liked the gear work a lot. It moved! I don't have a place for the decor now and don't wear much jewelry but recommend stopping in for the jewelry boxes and live edge tables in particular.

I bought my husband an antique gauge for our twelfth wedding anniversary. We came to The Wood Merchant in the hopes of having a stand custom made. As you can see, it turned out beautifully. Their craftsman, Mel, did an excellent job. After we made our initial request at the store in La Conner, I was contacted by, and worked with, the store owner, Mark, who was personable and communicative. There was a small miscommunication with regard to the design, but Mark was very dedicated to making sure we were happy with the product. Would definitely recommend this business.

They have a huge selection of all things wood. From pocket pill boxes to potted flowers made entirely from wood and everything in between.

The woman behind the counter was very helpful.

Parking can be an issue so be prepared for a bit of a walk if you don’t luck out and snag a good spot.

What a brilliant shop with a massive range of incredible wood products. The craftsman who make these products are first class. Prices are below the real price when you take into account time and labour. Great to see local quality. Keep up the good work fellas. Highly recommended.

Loved all of the unique woodwork. Owner was so pleasant and welcoming and actually encouraged picture taking in his shop. So many options. I could've easily spent an hour admiring everything.

We are always stunned at the depth of local talent displayed at this shop. The Wood Merchant is a wonderful store filled with very reasonably priced small treasures. If you have the budget they also offer incredible, jaw dropping, how do they do that works of art that your children will gladly inherit.

My favorite 'never disappoints' gift from here is a set of beautifully carved salad serving spoons. The Wood Merchant's selection and price point never disappoints.

Topping off the quality art is the friendly service offered by everyone (love Deb) who works here. It is a pleasure to lose yourself for half an hour in an artist's ability to turn a piece of plain wood into the sublime. Amazing!

This shop is amazing. The pieces throughout the store absolutely radiate the passion of the artists behind these creations. The little boxes are a steal and appear seamless. Will be back for sure in the future.

Omg! This place is amazing. Kaleidoscopes, cutting boards, jewelery, and more. So much to see I didn't even go upstairs. I got these laser etched Orcas for a very reasonable $10. And these wood inlay earrings for under $20. They had gifts ranging from $5 to $1500!! Could spend all day just looking at the wooden art.

Was not expecting all of the wooden items on display. Watches, boxes, sticks and things. Kaleidoscope was what I purchased, actually it is all I could afford. Everything you could imagine, but it is made from wood. All of the wooden items have a multi layer lacquer finish that is flawless.
The signage for The Wood Merchant is clear to see from the highway. There is a restroom available in the immediate area. I wood definitely recommend visiting The Wood Merchant because you WOOD KNOT believe the beauty in all of the wood works.

Beautiful wood art with lots of representation fir a large number of local artists. Fine art wood boxes, games, tables, bird and animal carvings and much more. Hard not to find something in here.

I love wood and this shop is full of gorgeous items crafted from wood of all kinds. It's my favorite place to shop for gifts...my family has to drag me out every time I go in!
