Great service at Budget in John Wayne Airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful - made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Car was spotless and had everything we needed for our trip. We flew into LAX but it was much easier to rent and return at John Wayne Airport! All of the car rental desk agents are only available underground where you pick up the vehicles - not in the terminal. While it’s a bit inconvenient and a waste of time looking around in the terminal to finding them, it’s very convenient when you have any questions after picking up a vehicle because staff are right there to assist. I’ll rent from this team again.

Great service and perfect car which was a Mazda Standard SUV. I could load and unload scooter from back of hatchback car. Staff was nice to drive us back to Southwest departures and unload our scooter and luggage. We will rent with Budget in the future!

The rental agent was a great listener, realizing I was a tourist not only to the area but to car rental. He patiently listened to my concerns and explained how everything worked. I felt more confident about the vehicle return process and the time it may take. The vehicle was great, just what I ordered, return was quick and the staff very helpful.

The low rating for this location is very shocking. It is expected that not every client will have the exact same experience but I have to say this location offered a great experience from start to finish. I placed the reservation the same day, was able to get the car I requested, took about 15 mins from getting to the office to driving the car out of the lot, returned to a different city with no issues. I would recommend this Budget location!

Second time I've rented from Budget and they've been great. I love that they are RIGHT AT THE AIRPORT! Returns and pick up are a breeze. I wish picking up the cars didn't take so long.
We rented a Tesla and nobody explained anything about it, how to charge it, that the adapter doesn't come with. But other than that, Budget is my rental car place!

Had to go from John Wayne airport to San Diego airport to pick up my car due to an airline cancelation. When I got to the counter, Darlene who had a wonderful smile, helped me immediately and was so kind. I will use them again. Darlene saw my mom was in a wheelchair and called her colleague to bring the keys and a specific car that she knew my mom would be most comfortable in. He brought the car right in front of my mom and the whole process was so quick and really a pleasure. Thank you Darlene for all you did for us.

From the moment I picked up my vehicle and until I returned it the entire process was prompt, smooth and very professional. I was given a random upgrade to a larger vehicle at the time I went to pick up my car. Despite a very busy morning the staff was very prompt professional and patient. This is why I returned to budget for my rental car needs. Thank you!

Thank you Budget! The rental was fine and all was smooth--pick up, drop off, friendly staff... But the best part was the e-tablet my wife left in the car was recovered. That was important to us.

The staff at John Wayne SNA are friendly and profesional.

They are quick to direct folks to both Avis and Budget stations. Been renting for many years there now.

I’ve rented thru Expedia and the staff explain the charges and options. They are not pushy and treat us well.

I was given many choices for my rental suv. I preferred the Nissan Rogue.

Car was ready to go at the stall they pointed me to. No issues to load. Car was clean. Air conditioner very cold too which was great.

Drop off is quick and easy as well.

Christian was our guy and he made us feel so welcome and was eager to provide amazing customer service! Friendly, efficient and helpful. He encouraged us to drive a beautiful Genesis sedan which was an awesome experience! Clean, beautiful and well-maintained car. Check-in and check-out was seamless. Extremely fair pricing. Highly recommend!

Rented a late model Red Dodge Challenger GT. Very nice car. One day, 415 miles from LA to Walnut Creek CA. $110.

Picking up car was a little time consuming, however, returning was very easy.
Car was clean and in good condition.
I will rent again from Budget.

My son left his phone in the seat pocket of our rental and when we realized it, the car had been sent for cleaning. An employee at Budget jumped in a different vehicle, drove over to where our vehicle was being cleaned, retrieved the phone and had it back to us within 20 mins. We are all grateful for a wonderful woman who went out of her way to help us in a hectic situation. The whole rental process with Budget at John Wayne Airport was seamless and smooth. Our vehicle was the perfect size with the right amount of bells and whistles. Highly recommend.

Customer service representative at the counter was pleasant, timely and efficient when picking up my rental vehicle which was very clean and exceeded my expectations. There was no excessive wait at the counter, and the vehicle was immediately available and ready to go. When returning the vehicle, the Budget representative was courteous and helpful. My entire experience was very positive!

This was my first time ever renting a car alone. My son was with me, and our experience was wonderful. The lady behind the counter was very sweet and made me feel welcomed. I wish I would have gotten her name She upgraded our car which was such a surprise. She made sure that we had a pleasant experience, and we sure did. I will use budget again and will be recommending them to everyone. Oh and the SUV was so nice, leather, nav and all the nice features. Thank you, Budget, for everything!

The staff at every location were beyond helpful. We left two important items in the car and when we came back to report the items, the staff went out of their way to get them back for us, even though the car had been moved to a different location.
The car was very nice, too.

Christian was the MOST helpful when I rented from Budget SNA airport. I was his last customer of the nite. Christian still had a big smile at the end of his shift
.. He even helped me after he closed up!

Jaylen was speedy and amazing and made our experience incredible after a long flight. He was so friendly, and I’ve never actually had fun checking in to pick up a car. Cannot recommend more highly!!
