CHOC Pulmonary Clinic

This is the only Choc department that is well run. We left feeling like our sick child was finally in good hands. The other departments should take notes. Thank You Pulmonary Department!! The Rizk Family

My son was ill and since we were new to the area we took a gamble taking him to a new hospital. It was after 8pm, so we took him through emergency services. All of the staff was friendly and listened to what I said. They were fast, efficient and had him feeling better and us out the door in less than an hour.

Never a good thing to have to be here in the first place BUT our experience was top notch when it comes to care and service. This hospital is by far the best I'v ever been to. The entire staff from security on up to the Dr's and nurses were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Could not ask for a better experience for the circumstances we had. I would also like to add that the Ronald Mcdonald living room in the ICU was outstanding. They really go out of their way to make the parents feel as comfortable as possible during their stay.

My 4 year old son had surgery here by Dr. Khoury. The whole staff was amazing and made my son feel comfortable before surgery by giving him toys to play with. Dr, Khoury is an amazing surgeon and we were blessed to have him perform my sons surgery. A+++++

The pulmonary dept. of CHOC Hospital is EXCELLENT! My teenage daughter has been seen twice for asthma by Patty Tate NP. She is WONDERFUL! She is the best doctor by far my daughter has ever been seen by. She listens and goes above and beyond to help your child. My daughter's asthma is getting better because of Patty. Very knowledgable. I highly recommend her. Thank you Patty Tate for caring about our children.

My family and I were visiting Disneyland when my 5 year old daughter got ill and had trouble breathing due to her asthma. Long story short, she ran out of her meds. and we went to C.H.O.C. the morning we were to go to Disneyland to get her breathing treatments or an inhaler. I was scared at first because of us being from out of town and not familiar with the city, I thought we were going to walk into a waiting room and have to wait for at least 4hrs. I was very Happy that the Staff took Fast care of my baby and even Trained me better on how to have her use her inhaler. She also received a cool new Dragon mask for her machine at home. She went in me carrying her and she left running. We also still made it to Disneyland and she was totally better a few days later. Thanks C.H.O.C.♥

The staff was surprisingly young... literally all of them, but the best experience team we have ever had in an emergency type situation. My son was playing baseball (8 years old), the coach was hitting infield practice and the ball took a bad bounce and caught him right under the eye...

Long story short, a couple stitches and out the door...

His job is basically to make the patients feel comfortable, reduce anxiety, and make this into the easiest possible experience. He hit a home run with us... He explained to my son what was going to happen, how it was going to happen and who was going to do it. Offered to make him comfortable, get him anything at all... they had DS's Ipads and stuff to loan out to the patient, all to help distract them as much as possible. This guy has a personality that is huge and is amazing at his job.

This was in 2001 I just turned 14 so Oct 5 I know it was the weekend casue some of my friends showed up the next day with no school after countless time to st judas everyone thought i was crying wolf to get out of school constant headaches eye pressure sleep spells and nausea C.H.O.C gave me a CT scan and low in be hold i had a brain abscess was not worried my parents signed a consent 2 hours later i was in O.R. thought it would be cool it they could of recored it but all i got were CT scans of the growth 2 weeks later i was back at hown with a at home IV 5/5 stars saved my life.

Very child friendly staff. Everyone was very nice and understanding. The short stay waiting room is very confortable. Great experiance considering my child is having surgery.

I'm a home nurse and come with my patients to CHOC, all Doctors at CHOC are excellent and tell that to everyone no know. I'm impressed nwith the care CHOC staff provides. My favorite doctors are Dr Shrey, Neurologist, Dr Kammat and Dr Yuengsrigul, pulmonologist. They are the best of the best.

Best hospital my two children have been in this hospital .. I recommend best doctors, good treatment, care, and attention ... always clean and treated fast

My daughter had open heart surgery and the Medical staff were so nice and polite.

The best childrens hospital saved both of my babies lives.

This hospital is the best all the staff is excellent and friendly as well.
