Hertz Car Rental - Orange County - John Wayne Airport

We have a 1 way rental car to return here & right after the return, picked up another Hertz rental car for 2nd segment of our vacation. The entire process was smooth. It was nice the rental vehicle we received is brand new vehicle. Enjoyed the Hertz rental car experience.

We had the best experience with Hertz, and Darrell was amazing. He went above and beyond to ensure our return went smoothly. I have an injured foot and can't walk, so he arranged for our party to be driven to the departure terminal so we didn't have to make the long trek by foot. The thoughtfulness and extra effort was appreciated. Thank you Hertz and Darrell!

We have had years of bad (really bad) experiences with a whole host of rental car companies. Erin was OUTSTANDING. Warm, personable. And the man who helped us get our car in the garage was so great and personable too (wish I caught his name). He saw us recording every part of the car (past trauma) and made sure it was all good! We are lifer customers now if every employee is like the John Wayne Hertz employees.

This Hertz location was one of the smoothest and quickest for checking in and checking out.
Rented a Pacifica for a week and loved that the van was in good shape and clean!

Would recommend making reservations on the app and also being a Gold Member to have a great experience here.

Book online, walk to the hertz station in the basement and pickup the car. Quick easy.

I love hertz but they are not the cheapest. As yuu progress and gain status they are more than happy to upgrade you. Nice team at sna. 2 NDA time in 69 days all good

This place is awesome!!! I booked Jeep Wrangler for Sunday but when I arrived they didn't have one at the moment, so to make up for that they upgraded my rental to RANGE ROVER VELAR for same price!!! I'm a long time hertz gold member and never been disappointed!!!

This is the best experience I've had with car rental in all the years I've been coming to California. I had already booked and arranged insurance. I arrived late evening and it was a very short walk across to the Hertz office. This was the second time this trip for picking up a car at this location. Margarita served me both times. She was friendly, so helpful and got me a lovely car both times. There was no pushy insurance selling that I have had trouble with previously at LAX car rental companies. There were only 2 people in front of me both times so no long wait either. Very easy to pick up the car and leave.
Returning the car was also very simple. Just drop in the return line and walk across to the terminal. I will definitely be using this location next year.

Josh went above and beyond to get us going after we were turned away with our booking at the Anaheim Hertz rental location. He then delayed his break to make sure all paperwork was finalised, and we were good to resume our trip. Thanks mate!

Had trouble with our reservation, but Alfredo was super kind and willing to help us figure it out. At the end of the day, we got a nice car in great condition for a good price. What more could you ask for?

Super fast pick-up and car was better than expected.
I was not pressured to accept any useless overpriced services.
I was able to get an upgrade from Toyota to Dodge for $150 for 2 weeks which made our trip even better !
I totally recommend Hertz and hope to be as satisfied next time.

I had a great experience at the Hertz at John Wayne Airport. We had a reservation with Enterprise but we were told we couldn’t drive into Mexico. With Hertz and Dollar you can by purchasing a Mexico insurance. I was so nervous because didn’t expect this to come up but my agent Erinn made me feel so much better. She was making us laugh and just making sure we were taken care of. She was so nice and polite I wanted to hug her. We were able to go to Ensenada with our car rental and didn’t encounter any problems. We had an amazing time. Would definitely rent here again. Thanks so much Erinn! ♥

Almost brand new car (Camry), almost no wait, easy to get to from the terminal.

The staff was amazing! First the offered me a ride to the departure terminal after the rental return was complete. Then they responded in less than 10 minutes when I notified customer service I forgot my wallet. I was back at the terminal in no time. I would recommend renting from this Hertz to anyone!

The car was extremely clean when I picked It up. It had a full tank of gas. I drove it for nine days / about 500 miles before needing to get more gas because it was a hybrid. I hope the return process it goes quickly and smoothly.

Anthony from Hertz desk was unbelievably helpful and efficient! Flew in to OC around 9pm and just wanted to get the rental car and head to our destination. Despite my bank card issues, he was extremely helpful.
