I’ve be seeing Jackie for several years now and trust no one else now. She is such a talented, personable hair colorist and stylist who turned my boring hair color into one I love!!! Unlike other hairstylists in my past experiences, Jackie never turned my hair orange or any other undesired color that I could barely stand to look at. Jackie has added to her beauty tools and specializes now in a newer hair coloring technique called painted hair color which is what created the results pictured above. She’s a one of a kind keeper who really puts thought and effort into your desired color and style for your tresses. I highly recommend Jackie to anyone who is looking for a knowledgeable stylist who thoroughly understands hair coloring and styling and has proven it to me time and time again.

What a relief to find such a competent and kind person to cut/color my hair! I have thick, wavy, long hair and Jackie gave me a cut that was flattering and easy to manage.
She immediately knew how to use my hair type to my advantage, and gave me layers that look full. She took my one dimensional blonde and wove in 2 other tones, making it look much more natural, and softened my root line so I didn't have to dye it so frequently.
Finally had the time to take these pictures 1 month after the cut, and it still looks great!

She was attentive to my hair needs and presented a path/journey for my hair to get back in shape. Jackie has been doing my hair for over 10 years. She knows a tremendous amount about hair and is constantly working to keep her knowledge base current. I appreciate how she considers that I need an easy hair care regimen when advising my on the best cut and products for my course, wavy hair. I prefer products that are as clean as possible and trust her choice in the color and styling products she uses in her salon and those she recommends for me to use at home. Over the years Jackie has completely earned my trust; so much so that when she moved to Auburn from Reno I followed!

Jackie is a super great stylist. She knows hair and is knowledgeable about what will work best with your type of locks. I have long hair and was tired of having stylists cut my hair in the way they saw fit and not how I wanted it. Jackie listened and is creative with her approach and obviously competent with her scissors. I am happy with my new cut and am glad I found Hair by Jax.

I have followed Jackie for years. I’m a Stylist and have to keep updated with the latest trends. I’ve alway put my trust In Jackie hands to let her do what she thinks would look best with my skin tone, face shape and personality. Some days I’ll walk in and say I want to look like a rock star and she’ll give me a short edgy cut. I had so many Client’s compliment me on a daily basis when she gave me an Asymmetrical short haircut. Right now I’m sporting a classic graduated bob. She wanted to tighten it up so Jackie gave me an undercut. Now when I pull my hair into a ponytail it has an edgier look. I love it. I love that she’s an American Board Certified Hair Colorist. She just added Carmel highlight to my dark brown Hair. I love the compliments!! Especially the ones that say I look 10 years younger❤❤ You won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend her.

Auburn is lucky to have Jackie in town! I have been going to her for 16 years in Reno, NV & I plan on going to her for 60 more in Auburn! She is a hair color guru and can still hide the gray! Fantastic hairstylist who is always current with hair and coloring trends. Jackie has been coloring and cutting my hair for 14 years. She currently has moved from Reno, Nevada to Auburn, California where I make a two hour commute. I can't imagine any hairstylist making me feel satisfied with hair styling results.

I have fine, straight hair that desperately needed some help after holding off getting my hair done since Covid began. I decided to do a body-wave perm, which I hadn’t done since the 80’s. It was exactly what my hair needed, especially going into winter. I now have some bounce and fullness and my hair holds a curl much better. Jackie was fun to talk with and my entire experience was excellent. I highly recommend.

I went to see Jackie earlier this year and my hair was FRIED and DEAD and BRIGHT red!! Before I went to see her I was ready to chop it ALL off. When I went in for my consult Jackie was honest and told me that this would be a process to get my hair to where I wanted it. She did Olaplex treatments, K18 treatments, and color removal treatments. Finally when we made it to the final stages of repairing she cut the cutest lob and layers (iv never liked anything but straight cut along the shoulders with no layers and now that I’m seeing Jackie for my hair I don’t think I’ll ever do that cut again!) When it came time to color she did paneling and boy does my hair look amazing!!! Not only is the cut and paneling soooo cute but my hair finally feels healthy again. It doesn’t even look like the hair I went in with on my first appointment. After my original appointment I have seen Jackie for my regular cuts and colors and she has done nothing but improve my hairs general health and wellness but also my color and cuts that I never thought I’d try! Love Jackie!! Love my hair!! 1000% would recommend her to anyone and everyone. Thank you Jackie!!
