Downtown Deli has it all. A quiet comfortable atmosphere and very good food. They make their own bread, which I love. And any sandwich you could want. With salads and soups and specials every day.

My husband and I ordered sandwiches from here and they were soooo good! I ordered the Chicken Bacon Avocado sandwich 🥪 with honey mustard. The sandwich was good but the honey mustard made it even better ❤. The workers were friendly and welcoming which is always a plus. I will definitely order from here again 😁 I recommend people give this place a try.

My new favorite spot! We came for the breakfast (not pictured) and it was so good we came back for lunch to try their infamous sandwiches. We were not disappointed! So good I don't think I'll ever go back to Subway. The prices are fair, the atmosphere is beautifully decorated as well as shelves for "take a book - leave a book"

I really enjoy the Harvard Street ice blended coffee here. My most recent visit was on Sunday. 5/5. It was very busy and the staff had their hands full. They still took orders and got people out of there. Staff was also friendly and communicative. I have noticed tried their food but the sandwiches looked great. Defintely one of hemets gems.

This is a great place to come and get a piece of mind to get food and coffee. Me personally I think it beats Starbucks, Dutch bros and etc. Additionally, i think it beats subway with the sandwiches. In Addition, I love the customer service. Everyone in there has such a positive vibe that I see often there. My first experience there was amazing and now I go almost everyday. There’s also a few people that I would like to mention because they had great customer service and they made the environment better. Last week I was there workers by the name of Dalina and Cynthia had such a positive attitude and I say they have the best customer service that I had ever came across at a cafe. I would also like to say Becca has great customer service too. I love how everyone greats you when you walk in. It an amazing place that I recommend for people to try.

Not feeling good today, and all I wanted was a really good sandwich. Mission accomplished. We recently moved to Hemet and have yet to find favorites when it comes to food establishments, Downtown Deli definitely made my list. I ordered the Turkey BLT Avocado and Cheese with a side of potato salad, my daughter ordered a classic BLT with Avocado. The total was almost $40, so I was a little shocked at that and thought, this sandwich better be worth it. It was!! It was about a 15 minute wait before our order was ready and we were on our way home. I was actually really excited to open up the takeout box and get a look at this sandwich. Let me tell you, the sandwiches are HUGE! The first bite was full of just absolutely great flavor, honestly the BEST sandwich I've ever had!! The blend of salt, pepper, and oregano mixed with the avocado and fresh produce was just so freaking good. The potato salad was almost as good as my mamas and that says ALOT! It was just really so good. I thought 15 minutes was a long wait, but now I get it. These sandwiches are made with love and pride and you can taste it. During those 15 minutes I took some time to learn about the owner of the Deli, Stephen. I had to hold back tears after learning about how involved he was with his community and how loved he was by the community. He passed in 2019 and I'm just really happy that his legacy is being carried on. He would be so proud of the great job you are all doing at Downtown Deli, such a welcoming atmosphere, built with love for sure. I highly, highly recommend Downtown Deli.

Wonderful oasis in a sea of chaos. Located in the older section of Hemet, on Harvard Street, with plenty of parking available in the area. Perfectly made drinks- hot, cold, coffees, smoothies, delectable food, great service, comfortable & interesting atmosphere, internet accessible, friendly & safe patrons, games, books, a variety of types of chairs, lots of natural light & high ceilings, AND Service Dog Friendly. Excellent stop to add to your day.

This is nice quiet gem right in downtown Hemet. Opened in 2014, this place has a nice ambience. Their food is also delicious and prepared fresh. Coffee is pretty decent too.

The food was tasty, well prepared and filling...but something was missing. I think there's supposed to be mustard on corned beef? Oh well, even without it it's worth going back for the quality of the ingredients, the friendly staff and the really comfortable atmosphere. There's a reason they've been so recognized. Looking forward to trying several other menu items.

This is where I come to do bible study with my group. I can honestly go to a Starbucks since they close later. But what brings me coming back and not caring that they close at 7pm every week is David. He is such an amazing person. Every week he sees me and my friends he greets us by name!!! He treats us with kindness. If we don't go that week the following week he says he missed us. If it wasn't for David I am not sure if I would still held bible study there. Everybody else who works there are not as friendly as David. He has such a genuine heart and he is always coming up to us to ask if we need anything and he even takes our trash. He makes that place feel like home. I recommend this place to anyone.

Awesome little gem on Harvard. Great coffee selections and yummy sandwiches and salads. Great place for a light weekend lunch (or you can just enjoy a coffee and a book). There is a shelf of donated books you can read and even take home if you wish. Staff is very friendly and establishment is very clean.

This cafe is a true hidden gem. From the food and drinks to the atmosphere, service, and overall vibe, it can only be described as divine.

The music is easy going and sometimes upbeat. Great for swooning, talking or just to lounge. There are some faux fireplaces, lots of photo's (historical artifacts) and plenty of seating. Shelves full with books and some armoirs that house books as well. It creates a nice look. Sofa's, chairs and barstools. We will for sure return! 👌

I'm a big fan of this deli. They always make my meals delicious and anytime I bring someone to try their food, they end up coming back for more. The downtowner sandwich is amazing.

This place is pretty amazing! The location is great and easy to find. The decorations are beautiful inside and out! The menu is extensive, they even have daily/weekly specials. I took a picture of specific coffee beans they have because it was interesting to see a local joint actually have locally produced coffee beans! I loved the setting. It was very comforting and relaxed. The ambience was great! Definitely a place I will be coming to more often! The only thing I didn't like is that they don't accept American Express but I didn't subtract any stars because it's something easy to get passed. The staff was extremely friendly and you couldn't ask for better customer service from them! I had their Harvard District Salad and Cafe Mocha (Hot), and the salad was crisp and refreshing and the coffee was smooth! Love this place!
