Amazed I was... I walk in and this kid "Owen" says hello & asked if i had been there before, I reply no. Im simply looking for shoes though. He says great ill meet you in the back left hand corner.of the store ( lots of stuff to choose from ) I say Okay. Great. He comes back to where I am. Do you know what your looking for. I HAVE NO IDEA... He then takes imprints of both feet has me walk on a treadmill about 10 steps and i hop off and he puts 4 circles on different areas on the imprints of my feet. Tells me well here are your problems, blah, blah, blah. Im going to recommend these and here is why. Damn if he didn't nail it. Thank you Owen.

Very great store for running products. They also carry products for swimmers. I really enjoy going to this location for my running needs.

I needed to be fitted for a shoe that would work with all my foot problems. Garrett was incredibly helpful and patient while trying to find the perfect shoes for my feet. I tried on eight different shoes until we found the right pair.

Kim helped me pick out a new pair of running shoes. So kind and helpful. They had a good selection of shoes and were having a sale on the ones I ended up picking. I will definitely come back next time I need a new pair of running shoes.

Excellent service, knowledge base, selection of stability shoes in multiple brands and selection of socks and shorts as well. The guy that helped me did not rush the process of me finding the right stability shoe. I happened to be on my way through SLO and walked out of another store before coming here. Glad i did. If i lived in SLO this would be my go to running store. Keep up the great service.

This is the first time I've visited GH Sports, recommended by my PT. I was impressed with the knowledgeable staff and the selections on walking and running shoes. The young gal evaluated my feet,, gait on the treadmill and helped me to find the right walking shoes. She did not try to oversell me that I do not need. I hope the new shoes will ease the pain in my feet and keep me going.

This sporting goods store is small but mighty. They specialize in shoe wear and analyze your gait to help you find optimum shoes. Everyone is very kind and helpful. Garrett was extremely kind, patient, helpful and knowledgeable. He cares as if he was the owner of the store. Just doesn't get any better than that.

Great staff and selection. My friend needed to get better walking shoes, so we headed out of town. We could have gone north or south and we chose GH Sports for their video technology watching the gait of your walk and the foot placement. Awesome young man helped her find the shoes and a 90 day try out period, hard to beat! I bought some swim gloves for my husband and he really likes them.

The salesperson was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable while getting my son fitted for running shoes for cross country. They have a really thorough shoe-fitting process that is free of charge and includes an imprint arch-evaluation and a camera-computerized evaluation while he ran on a treadmill. They brought out 4 different shoe options for him to try on, and we never felt rushed or pressured in any way. We look forward to coming back, and we appreciate how they keep all of his info on file. High end sports shop for runners, walkers, swimmers, bicyclists. No equipment for sports that use a ball. Big shoe department with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Low key and competent.

I was amazed with the customer service, selection and prices. Talk about a relief, if you haven’t stopped by GH Sports in San Luis Obispo, you are definitely missing out!!! The experience was rad, welcoming and the staff was extremely helpful. I will no longer be shopping elsewhere for running shoes, hands down one of the better experiences for shoes. #awesome

Hands down best running shoe purchase experience. I've been a runner for a decade and my running shoes were discontinued. Paired with plantar fasciitis, I needed help finding a quality shoe but was overwhelmed with online shopping options. They did a gait analysis and gave me 4 options. Ended up buying two pairs. Grateful they were open for in person shopping!

I can't say enough about the service I received at GH Sports and Owen in particular. I have major foot issues - plantar fasciitis and tendonosis. Their thorough analysis of my walking foot mechanics and custom fitting with insoles and athletic shoes has literally given me new hope for overcoming my quasi-lame state. Five stars and more!

Locally owned manufacturer of swimming, running, biking, triathlon clothing and gear. The retail store sells a few major brands in limited quantity as well. They don't have everything but are good at what they do. Competitively priced. Supports the local community. Nice people.

I have been using the GH bike shorts and the long sleeve florescent yellow jersey and I love them. The shorts have plenty of padding and don't chafe. The jersey is fantastic as it protects me from the sun but best of all cars really see me. My riding buddies are now getting them because it really makes difference being visible to cars. I give them a 10.
