Super quick service. I had an appt. but showed up an hour early and they provided excellent service on the spot. I didn't have to wait. No extra fees or surprise charges, paid what was quoted over the phone.

These guys are fast nice and fair priced. I recently brought my car here. I had told them what was wrong with it and explained I would need it back same day if possible. They had it fixed in about an hour. I am so happy I decided to go with them. It was a brake master cylinder and he gave me a fair decent price. I won't say the cost because every vehicle is different. If you want to be treated right Jay's auto is the place to go.

Jay's Automotive is one of the best auto shops in Santa Maria. I have not met a more honest mechanic. On one occasion, my car was rattling and I brought it to Jay. He tightened up some bolts which corrected the problem and sent me on my way, refusing payment. Jay's professionalism helps him maintain a loyal customer base, of which I am proud to be. I highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed.

Called Jay about getting a pre-purchase inspection for a car I was interested in buying. Jay was super helpful over the phone and was very generous with his time. Great guy. He literally looked up the craigslist ad on his own and analyzed it with me while we were talking. He helped me to see a few red flags. I ended up not going for the car, but I will definitely keep Jay in mind for any car related need I might have in the future.

For me, a trip to the mechanic is as bad or worse than a trip to the dentist for a root canal. Jay and his crew are honest mechanics, they charge fair prices, and their work is top-notch. This is the only mechanic in Santa Maria that I will trust with my cars for repairs as well as smog checks. Besides being an A+ auto repair shop, Jay is a great guy and will bend over backwards to treat his customers well. Highly recommended.

I was so scared going into any mechanic because I know nothing about cars. My car was having some issues I had been to two other places in town and they hadn’t been able to fix the problem with my car or tell me what was going on .
