I have a hard time trusting in hairstylists since I have had a couple in the past that gave me a cut that was not flattering. I was going to another stylist who did awesome with my hair and would travel far to see her. However, I desperately needed my hair done and needed to find someone to do my hair since the hairstylist I had been going to was on maternity leave. I found out that Cara was a stylist and took a look at her website. Her website was different than others I had seen, wanting to really know what your hair is about and what you wish for your hair. It took me a while to fill out her survey, but I am so glad that I did! I put my trust fully with Cara to give me a cut and color for my needs. And Cara, is not only an awesome person, but she gave me one of the best haircuts and colors I ever had! I felt so beautiful and confident after she did my hair! She gave me a cut that is perfect for my wavy to curly hair. I have to say that one of my favorite parts was getting my head massaged. And she is fun to hang out with and have conversations with! Cara is now my awesome new stylist and will not have to travel to get my hair done anymore! I can't wait till my next appointment! Definitely recommend Cara to do your hair!

I loved my experience from start to finish. Cara has created a system that allows you to know what services, pricing, and time commitment at booking. Then when you arrive she does a wonderful job of going over what you've chosen to make sure both you and her are on the same page. Her salon is so chic and she offers her clients drink options which was like the cherry on top. I love how she worked with me when I didn't exactly know what I wanted and she highlighted my hair beautifully. I also got a very nice hair cut.

I’ve been going to Cara for well over 8 years! She is the kindest, most welcoming person you will meet! She makes you feel comfortable, and offers great hair services on top of it all! She has great suggestions for how to change up a look, does amazing work and ensures you love the look too! The new salon space is my favorite and love all the little extras like the sparkling water, as you chat with a girlfriend and get your hair done and styled!

I'm going to echo everyone but Cara really is the best! She's so talented and genuine and I think it's hard to find a stylist that you trust. But since day 1 of walking into her salon, I felt so confident and in love with my hair and have always received compliments! Cara at the Beauty Compass is a truly gifted haircare specialist. A master of her craft. Each haircut is precise and consistent while grays are meticulously blended away using "baby lights/shadow root" techniques yielding flawless, natural results. The condition of my hair has greatly improved with the Kevin Murphy line, both in the salon and supporting products at home. The "hair facial" is a luxurious add-on that is a must try. Left me swooning for days! To top it off, each visit is filled with heartfelt, inspiring and fun conversations. Cara is simply the BEST!

I found Cara when I was growing out my very short hair which had reached an annoying collar length so I decided I wanted extensions. I found Cara through Yelp and boy did I hit the jackpot! The beaded weft extensions looked SO real! Cara maintained my extensions until my natural hair was past my shoulders and she has been cutting and coloring my natural hair for years now. During lockdown I decided to let my natural gray grow out, when I was finally able to see Cara again we discussed matching my hair to my now gray roots and the result was amazing!! She matched the color flawlessly and I just love it. I'm in my late 50's and my hair has never looked healthier, and it's all due to Cara's care and guidance. Throw in her amazing personality, and a studio that is modern and relaxing and you have the perfect combo. I can confidently confirm that Cara can literally do it all. She rescued my hair when it was thinning and fried, and magically it looks better every single time she does it. I’ve learned so much about how to take proper care of my hair, and my hair is now the best it has ever looked - all thanks to Cara!
